As a long time UConn and Big East fan, I love the idea of UC, LVull and the others joining the conference. Teams get better when they play tough in-conference schedules. I think the newcomers will be just fine and that the Big East may drop 8 or 9 teams into the tourney next year.

Duke is going to dominate next season. JJ Redick and Sheldon Williams should be back, thus they only lost Daniel Ewing. Then they are gonna add Eric Boateng, Josh McRoberts (both fowards) and point guard Greg Paulus, who were all McDoland's All-Americans. Gonna be tough to beat.

For UC fans, don't worry. I believe at the start of the season a lot of people rated UC 45th overall. They ended up getting to the NCAAs and came close to beating Kentucky, in a well-fought game by both sides. UC will be just fine.

For UK fans, the team has a bright future led by guys such as Randolph Morris, center, and Rajon Rondo.
