There's just no chance an upstart, essentially minor league, football team could seriously have an affect on the Reds.
Le Tigre
I saw a couple of USFL games back in the day. It wasn't great football by any means...but they had some good players, and overall it was OK entertainment. I remember Dan Ross played for the Breakers briefly. It was cheap too...I recall the tickets were like under $10 or so. Memories. Weren't the Bengals going to draft Steve Young, and then he bolted for the USFL instead?
-GoBengals-
The USFL playing from February to June means it would only compete for entertainment dollars with the Cyclones, Blockbuster, and the local movie theaters... I would be interested in watching the games as long as they didn't totally blow. Let's be honest. It's a long damned wait for the NFL to gear up again. Having mediocre football to watch through the majority of the offseason sounds good to me. The key for me will be if they manage to cultivate okay football without getting crazy with the gimmicks. That was the big turnoff for me to the arena/xfl/europe stuff. Granted, Europe's only real gimmick was in having lots of Europeans playing, but whatever. Give me cheap seats, and a team that can win games, and I'll go.
word.
