Go Skins Posted March 2, 2017 Report Posted March 2, 2017 http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/article/2616227/ Sen. Elizabeth Warren called for Attorney General Jeff Sessions' immediate resignation after it was reported he had two contacts with the Russian ambassador during the 2016 presidential campaign, joining several other prominent Democrats who also pushed for his departure late Wednesday. The Massachusetts Democrat launched a flurry of tweets late Wednesday night calling his role in leading the Justice Department's investigation into ties between the Trump campaign and Russia "a farce," and pushing for him to step aside so a special prosecutor could conduct the probe. "It's a simple q: Have you been in contact with anyone connected to any part of the Russian government about the 2016 election?" she tweeted, referring to a question Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., asked during his confirmation hearings.

Elizabeth Warren unleashed another Twitter rant on Wednesday, calling on Republicans to "get on the right side of history" and call for an independent commission to investigate President Trump's ties to Russia after House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes revealed that he shared information with Trump that was withheld from his committee. "Who does House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes think he works for: the American people or [Trump]?" the Massachusetts senator asked.

Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) stopped by the “Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” on Tuesday to plug her new book, but she also shared a few pointers on how Democrats should approach the next few years — including a Pixar-inspired analogy. “We cannot shoot at everything that moves,” she told Fallon. “Remember in the movie ‘Up,’ the dog, when he yells, ‘Squirrel!’? We cannot all go over there.” She added: “We got to keep a focus not on what says, what he tweets. We got to keep the focus on what he actually does.” But to Warren, Trump’s nearly 100 days in office “feels like dog years, he’s been there forever.”

They wrote a letter on Tuesday to Mike Crapo, the Republican chairman of the Senate banking committee, requesting a September hearing. Crapo's committee did not respond to a request for comment from CNNMoney.

Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) on Wednesday made a surprise appearance at the National Congress of American Indians, delivering a speech about issues facing Native Americans and defending herself from the "Pocahontas" slurred repeatedly lobbed at her by President Trump. The senator, who claims partial Native American heritage, explained her family's background in the speech, saying that her mother's family was part Native American, and that she eloped with Warren's father because his family did not approve of their relationship. "I get why some people think there's hay to be made here," Warren said, according to a transcript of the speech published by The Boston Globe. "You won't find my family members on any rolls, and I'm not enrolled in a tribe." She said that she respects the distinction between heritage and tribal membership, and said she has "never used my family tree to get a break or get ahead. I never used it to advance my career." Trump most recently referred to Warren as "Pocahontas" at a November event honoring Native American Code Talkers, a comment that many have criticized as a racial slur. In her remarks Wednesday, Warren told the basics of the Pocahontas story, noting specifically her suffering at the hands of early English settlers.
Jamie_B Posted December 31, 2018 Author Report Posted December 31, 2018 Welp unless Bernie runs "I'm with her."
T-Dub Posted December 31, 2018 Report Posted December 31, 2018 What has she actually accomplished? I'm not saying she hasn't done anything; genuine question here. I am generally weary of these older Democratic party faithful that seem to say all the right things but at the end of the day fall in line with the business as usual sock puppet theater politics. More than ready for them to move aside for the likes of Tulsi or Alex O-C. Give me someone less compromised and more willing to upset the apple cart when it matters. The conciliatory, go along get along stuff is too complicit at this point.

Go Skins Posted February 10, 2019 Report Posted February 10, 2019 https://www.cnn.com/2019/02/09/politics/elizabeth-warren-campaign-kickoff-massachusetts/index.html (CNN)Sen. Elizabeth Warren officially launched her 2020 presidential campaign Saturday at a rally in Lawrence, Massachusetts, using the backdrop of Everett Mills -- the site of a historic 1912 labor strike led by women and immigrants -- to issue a call to action against wealthy power brokers who "have been waging class warfare against hardworking people for decades." Over 44 minutes in sub-freezing temperatures, Warren described a political elite "bought off" and "bullied" by corporate giants, and a middle class squeezed so tight it "can barely breathe." "The man in the White House is not the cause of what is broken, he is just the latest and most extreme symptom of what's gone wrong in America," Warren said of President Donald Trump. "A product of a rigged system that props up the rich and powerful and kicks dirt on everyone else. So once he's gone, we can't pretend that none of this ever happened."
Go Skins Posted March 11, 2019 Report Posted March 11, 2019 https://www.cnet.com/news/apple-joins-list-of-warrens-tech-breakup-targets/ If Sen. Elizabeth Warren had her way, the landscape of tech giants would be radically different. The Democratic presidential candidate says tech companies such as Amazon, Google and Facebook have too much influence over our lives and would like to see them broken up. But when she made that proposal Friday, she left a big name off her tech hit list: Apple. The Massachusetts senator said during an interview published by The Verge on Saturday that she feels Apple's App Store gives the company too much of a competitive advantage. "Apple, you've got to break it apart from their App Store. It's got to be one or the other," Warren said. "Either they run the platform or they play in the store. "They don't get to do both at the same time," she said. Warren sees tech companies gaining too much power over the economy, society and democracy, she explained in a blog post Friday. "They've bulldozed competition, used our private information for profit, and tilted the playing field against everyone else," she wrote about the tech titans. "And in the process, they have hurt small businesses and stifled innovation." Warren suggested passing laws that prevent large e-commerce platforms (with global annual revenue of $25 billion or more) from owning both the platform and any sellers on it.

When the rising sixth grader scored a one-on-one interview with candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts during a press stop in Toledo, Ohio, on Monday, Jaden said he didn't think too much of it. Then thousands of Twitter follows and media mentions rolled in. "When I got all the media attention, I was like, 'Am I actually here right now?' " Jaden told CNN's Brooke Baldwin in Detroit on Tuesday. Jaden has gained a local following for his sports packages and radio spots in his hometown of Toledo, where his parents work at the Jeep factory. National political reporting is another way that Jaden does his "own thing during the summer."
