Robert Geathers
Ive got tons of ground deer meat that is just begging to be chilli, but alas I have no good recipe. Other than going to get the little flavor packet at Krogers. I like thick chilli myself, and was thinking maybe tomatos and cheese on top... mmmmm
BengalBeotch
ALRIGHT...YA READY? this is the best chili you will ever have.... (because I made it up!) Beotch's Chunky Chili ingredients: 1 1/2 - 2 lbs of preferably ground beef (but in your case, Bambi) 1 large can of Spaghetti sauce (yes, I said spaghetti sauce) 2 cans of italian style stewed tomatoes (I add some fresh ones too) 1-2 cans of italian style diced tomatoes 2 med onions (too your taste, more or less) 1 large green pepper 2 cans of hot chili beans (or mild) 2 cans of kidney beans 2 tablespoons of chili powder (more or less, to your taste) You may need to add water if it's too thick but it starts to create it's own juices too so don't add too much, maybe a can or 2 fry up the beef to brown it....drain grease and fat add it to the big pot of ingredients (above) bring to a boil stirring, drop heat to med/med high and let it simmer for about 2 hours.... gotta stir frequently so you don't burn the bottom add shredded cheese to the top and some hot sauce... A little garlic bread for dipping....YUUUUMMMMM.... I promise it's the best or next to best chili you'll ever have!!! It's my secret receipe and I'll share with the posters but when they ask how to make it.... you must say "Beotch's secret receipe" and keep it to yourself. BengalBeotch
If you like Skyline...there is a packet type of chili that is comparable and it's VERY GOOD!!....comparable taste to Skyline in my opinion, almost better because it's a little thicker.... The chili packet is called..."Cincinnati Style Chili" p.s. it's a hell of alot cheaper! NASTYNATI
i just eat the bachelors chili.... - two lbs ground beef, chuck,or sirloin. - one large can and one small can of campbells tomato soup. - 2-3 cans of bush's chili beans - 3 tbsp of chili powder - cook ground beef until browned, drain grease and put into slow cooker. - add tomato soup, chili beans, and powder, and place on medium heat stirring occasionally. - let it simmer for 3-4 hours. its a very basic recipe but tasty imo. i usually add more chili powder to my bowl along with shredded mozzerella cheese and BBQ yes bbq fritos. BengalBeotch
I'm tellin ya.... Cincinnati Style chili in the can or buy the packet and make it yourself is almost better then both Skyline and Goldstar... (especially if you take the time to make it yourself with the packet)
