Bored mock part 2

Recommended Posts

1. Bucs - QB Marcus Mariota, Oregon - They need a QB and he is the top guy.

2. Titans - QB Jameis Winston, FSU - Locker is a bust and Mettenburger won't keep them from taking a QB.

3. Jaguars - DE Randy Gregory, Nebraska - A young pass rusher is their top need.

4. Raiders - WR Amari Cooper, Alabama - Carr needs weapons.

5. Redskins - DT Leonard Williams, USC - BPA and a tremendous fit at 3-4 end.

6. Jets - OLB Shane Ray, Missouri - Jets haven't had a good pass rusher in a while.

7. Bears - S Landon Collins, Alabama - Fills the Bears' biggest need.

8. Falcons - OLB Vic Beasley, Clemson - Pass rusher they sorely need.

9. Giants - OT Brandon Scherff, Iowa - Keeping Eli upright has been a struggle lately.

10. Rams - OT Andrus Peat, Stanford - Jake Long is getting older and coming off a torn ACL.

11. Vikings - WR DeVante Parker, Louisville - Patterson is looking like Josh Cribbs 2.0. Louisville connection with Bridgewater.

12. Browns - WR Kevin White, West Virginia - They are desperate for weapons.

13. Saints - OLB Alvin Dupree, Kentucky - They need a stud pass rusher for their 3-4.

14. Dolphins - OLB Shaq Thompson, Washington - Stud 4-3 linebacker

15. 49ers - CB Trae Waynes, Michigan State - Their top 2 CBs are free agents

16. Texans - QB Brett Hundley, UCLA - They NEED a quarterback BAD. Hundley has all the tools.

17. Chargers - OT T.J. Clemmings, Pittsburgh - Clemmings is as talented as the top LTs in the draft but inexperienced.

18. Chiefs - WR Dorial Green-Beckham, Missouri - As talented as any WR in the draft. Red flags drop him here.

19. Browns (from Bills) - OT La'el Collins, LSU - Their RT single handidly lost them some games this season.

20. Eagles - OLB Melvin Fowler Jr, Florida - Time to add some youth to their pass rush.

21. Bengals - DT Danny Shelton, Washington - Big, strong, powerful and a good pass rusher.

22. Steelers - LB Benardrick McKinney, Mississippi State - He could play inside or outside in their 3-4 D.

23. Lions - DT Eddie Goldman, FSU - With Fairley and Suh free agents, DT could go from a strength to a huge weakness.

24. Cardinals - RB Melvin Gordon, Wisconsin - Ellington has proven to not be a feature back.

25. Panthers - OT Ereck Flowers, Miami FL - They need an upgrade and youth at tackle

26. Ravens - WR Jaelen Strong, Arizona - Steve Smith is old as dirt.

27. Cowboys - DT Malcom Brown, Texas - Improves an area that was lacking this season.

28. Broncos - DE Nate Orchard, Utah - Ware is getting up there in age and you can never have enough pass rushers.

29. Colts - OT Ronnie Stanley, Notre Dame - No QB was hit more during the regular season than Luck. Got to protect the franchise.

30. Packers - DE Shawn Oakman, Baylor - Huge boom or bust prospect. Good fit at end in a 3-4.

31. Patriots - RB Todd Gurley, Georgia - Their RB by committee was a big fail this season. Gurley could potential be an elite NFL RB.

32. Seahawks - WR Devin Funchess, Michigan - Wilson got by with marginal talent at WR this season. Funchess gives him a huge target.

i think the jags might grab cooper. actually any of the top 4 teams could grab cooper, they all need him.

i think mariota might fall a bit.... or maybe i just feel like mariota should fall a bit.

im not sure i dig the DT pick ofr us either.. doubt he would unseat peko or atkins,.. minimal gain with that position pick.

DT is definitely a need. I didnt see much from Peko against the run or pass this year. My preference would be signing a top tier DT in FA and then going DE in the draft.  Suh is out, but I wouldnt mind seeing us go hard after Knighton, WIlliams, or Fairley.

1. Ndamukong Suh
2. Nick Fairley
3. Terrance Knighton
4. Dan Williams
5. Jared Odrick
6. Stephen Paea
7. C.J. Mosley
8. Henry Melton

not sure why the hate on peko lately (not just your mention here) his stats the last 3 years are virtually the same. he is still a teir 1 run stopping DT. having a lack luster atkins didnt help his cause, but he still had a solid year. 2011 was his peak year, and only the tackles is much different stats wise.

im not a big fan of replacing starting caliber players with top draft picks. i think stil land thompson are good development guys who should be producing to replace peko in a year,.

there just isnt enough gain over peko/atkins to want any of these guys with our first pick..IMO

Shelton is probably the best NT in this draft, and Peko is getting older.
