BengalBacker
I don't think you have to be some "crazy prepper" to see the value in one of these. They claim to be able to filter and purify enough drinking water for a family of 5 to last 3 years, almost 5000 gallons. Even if you only have it in case of a boil advisory because of construction or something they would be worth it. I have a couple of the Life Straws, but they are more for camping and bugout bags. Here's a thorough instructional video apparently geared more toward 3rd world countries, but there are a lot of videos out there from preppers and campers too if you want to search. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84rUA-GN5ro Looks like they're about $80 most places, Amazon has them for $65. http://www.amazon.com/LifeStraw-Family-1-0-Water-Purifier/dp/B00FM9OBQS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1434860345&sr=8-2&keywords=lifestraw+family+water+filter

BengalBacker
I have a water purifier, but that thing is tits. Good shit, backer... Thanks, looks like very cheap insurance to me. One of the reviews I was reading, someone who lives in Florida said that hurricanes can make drinking water unavailable for weeks, and this was/is a lifesaver. |Elflocko|
Mine is a hiking unit, and I had been thinking about a bigger one for disasters. If you have water, you have a chance...
|Numbers|
Now, just need a powdered beer package to add to the water...
