Not sure if you mean why it was kept quiet or in general but the Death Row-LAPD connections were very real.

Suge Knight went to jail 5 years ago and isnt eligible for parole for 11 more years. Wonder why they waited 5 years to move on it?

In a word? Cops. I'm sure the LAPD would like everyone to forget that their dedicated gang task force were, in fact, a gang. Shit the whole SoCal police force is mixed up in that world, look up the Lynnwood Vikings just for starters. That shit is systemic.

So the conspiracy around this was that Puffy had the hit taken as payback for Biggie.

Do we still think that is a thing?

Pac was killed before Biggie.

Puffy allegedly put a 1 million dollar hit on Suge and Pac, the Crip that Pac and Suge jumped at the MGM casino, Orlando whatever his name is shot Suge and killed Pac. Here's where it goes left, Puffy then gave the million to a record company exec that was supposed to give the money to the Crips, but didn't. So because the Crips didn't get paid, they killed Biggie. Based on Puffy being a huge POS I could definitely see this happening but who knows for sure....I don't.
