Egg Shen
Kentucky made history again in the NBA draft tonight. -The first time a team had the #1 and #2 overall pick in the same draft. -The first time a team had 6 players in the first two rounds of the same draft. Since there are only 60 players drafted, that means 10% of the players drafted tonight came from the University of Kentucky. -The most players drafted over a three year span with 14 players drafted in the last three drafts. BigDawgBengal
UK could really be scary good next year. They just got the top two guards and Willis is already coming. They are one of the favorites to add Parker and Randle. If Wiggins reclassifies, he will end up at UK next year. Wiggins will probably end up being the best player Cal has ever recruited. Next years class could go down as the greatest recruiting class ever.
BigDawgBengal
Cal added James Young yesterday. He is ranked in the top ten by every recruiting site. So far that is 3 players in the top ten in next years class. Five of the top ten recruits are headed to the SEC next year and more will follow. Lewdog
Are you serious? Have any of you guys looked at the new preseason poll? The midwest is dominating. Indiana is #1, Louisville #2, UK #3, Ohio St. #4, and Michigan #5.
Bengal Cat
I think this team showed some heart tonight. It would've been easy to fold the tent when they were down 14. I think Harrow is the key to the season. They played tonight pretty much without a point guard and still held their own.

scharm
The talent is unquestioned. The coming together of the talent is the fun part. Hopefully by mid Feb the familar big blue buzzsaw will be in full force. They look fast and athletic and at the same time appear to be playing not at full speed or with confidence the whole time.
No moral victories, but there was a lot to like about the game last night. You could see worlds of improvement in Noel from Friday, Poythress is going to be a star, Goodwin just needs to stay under control, Mays isn't afraid to take a big shot and the rebounding looked way better than it did Friday. If Cauley-Stein develops and Harrow figures out how to run the team, they could make a deep run in March. Gotta figure out how to get a scorer like Wiltjer invovled more. Calipari is going to have young teams all the time and they aren't going to play very well in mid-November compared to how they will play come February. They just need some time to jell. BigDawgBengal
Talent is there. Chemistry and execution not there right now. UK will be a really good team in a few months.
One thing Cal has never gotten enough credit for is his ability to get his young players to execute in the half court. Although this current edition of the CATS has much room for improvement in the two games against Maryland and Duke they were able to manufacturer buckets in half court sets. You see "veteran" teams that can't do it, all they can do is run and gun. Every year Cal's teams are so tough because they are athletic enough to run and gun but also can get buckets in half court when needed. It is amazing considering the youth he's dealing with. Egg Shen
Weird stuff going on with Ryan Harrow. He's been out for weeks with what they initially said was the flu. Then rumors started circulating that he had mono. Now some Cats fan dug up some two-year-old NC State thread discussing whether Ryan Harrow has the flu or mono.
