EnglishBengal
I'm curious though not worried (yet), will our special teams lose anything this year due to Marcus Wilkins' departure? What does evryone else think?
BrassBengal
When I heard Reggie Myles was gone I had the same feelings but we did not miss a step. I dont think that this will be any different, someone else will step up and take his place.
-GoBengals-
ST seems to be based on athleticism and coacjing, i think we do both pretty well...
texbengal
He was a good player on STs, but last year, several "newbies" showed up big - even after some of the key players the year before were lost, such as Hannibal Navies and Anthony Mitchell: - Indiana Jones - Caleb Miller (with a full, injury-free season) - Tony Stewart (who had been an after-thought on STs before last year) - Andre Frazier (waiver-wire pickup who actually played on D, in addition to teams) - Ethan Kilmer - Glenn Holt (who besides being a good KR was also a good gunner) so my long-winded answer to your question is "no." Wilkins wasn't gonna play on defense, anyway.

CTA513
He might have been a good special teams player, but he couldnt get on the field with the LBs even though they had injuries and Thurmans suspension.
TDB
Under Marvin and coach Simmons, the Bengals have done a wonderful job of drafting good special teams contributors late in the draft. I'm confident they'll bring in someone (if he isn't already on the roster) that can perform as well as Marcus Wilkins did.
bengaldee
He had more than injuries , he had that rape case as well. That more than likely had his head out of the game.Maybe your right he won't make it , but he has a year of experience with this team.Which is more than a rookie

texbengal
I believe that AJ was accused of sexual assault in his hotel during the week before a bowl game in FL... but if I recall correctly, she recanted her story. Regardless, Bowden sent AJ home, and he missed the game.
