I went to a private grade school and high school and i guarantee i got a better education than if i had gone to public school. The curriculum is harder and there is a lot more discipline in the school. My fiance went to both and i have family members that have gone to each. Higher standards and when i was in school if you acted up the teacher would grab your arm and drag you down the hall to the principals office. I would also pay off the national debt in 10 years by subsidizing ALL telephone companies and making them Government property. I would also return farms into the hands of the farmers, and break up consolidated Agro-Industries. Obviously, I would legalize Hemp, increase taxes on casinos, and make education (e.g. the LONG TERM) my main priority. I would also make it illegal for mortage companies to increase rates in poor communities, but require everyone on my newly expanded welfare system to report to a gov't agency once every six months for a physical and job distributions (there will be plenty of new jobs created by the Gov't for things like weapons manufacturing and conservation acts, things currently being done by private groups). State controlled limits on insurance levels, including a tripling on mandatory insurancing for vehicles that got less than 25 Miles Per Gallon. I would severely tighten legislation to protect the environment and prevent harm done to the Earth by Companies , and I would also quadruple tariffs on goods imported by foreign companies that did not follow similar laws, to prevent national industries from leaving. Any Senators, Legislators, or Politicians on a Federal level who were found to be receiving money/benefits from outside groups would have to forfeit that money immediately or be subject to an investigation. I would split Alaska into two, and let the Hawai'i go out on its own, but with the stipulation that it had to operate as a sovereign nation, and not as Japanese or Australian property. I would also maintain an alliance with Israel, but would stop sending them inordinate amounts of money and supplies. I would create a bargaining group for Middle East Peace that did NOT revolve around oil. I would push and pass the Equal Rights Ammendment, or a modified version thereof.
