A couple of objections: Dallas won't need to trade up that high if Peterson is on the board. Arizona or Cleveland aren't going to take a CB. I think it would be more likely for the Titans to trade up ahead of Arizona to grab Gabbert. If so we could get Fairley instead of Jones which would make me happy.

Other objection is that at time of draft we'll have no idea whether Benson or Joseph is coming back. Although Mallett is probably a good value at 35, taking any rookie QB doesn't fix our problem. Give me LeShoure or Baldwin over Mallett.

Why would AZ take Peterson? Their biggest needs are QB and O-line. Any O-lineman would be a reach but they would grab Gabbert if available. If not, AJ Green or even Von Miller make more sense than Peterson. They have 1 good CB in DRC so they don't need another elite CB. I think they hope to sign Bulger as their short term QB fix but with the draft before free agency they can't count on it as Bulger will have other suitors and he's not a long term fix anyway.

cleveland's rebuilding their defensive front four. i know they need a star WR, but i think they'd take nick fairley if he's available. in a deep WR draft, they can easily go get one in the 2nd round. that's what i see holmgren doing in that scenario. he's a smart guy that doesn't get all nervous about the event.

could you see them bringing andre smith to the strong side and going with tandem andre smith(s)? those two would make some running lanes, no doubt about that! the announcers would have a field day with that scenario.

If this is how it went down I would be sick to my stomach. Mallet is gonna be a bust. Julio Jones will be good but not a huge game changer. Wouldent mind Cannon but outside of that I think if you look back on these players a couple years down the road and this draft will look terrible.

I also envision a reality where that could be the best first 5 picks to a draft the Bengals ever had.
