He didn't lower his helmet or even drive into him that hard. Mays could have sent him to the cemetery if he really wanted to blow him up. What exactly was he supposed to do anyways, let him catch it, get his footing, then gently grab him around the waste and carefully lower him to the tackled position?

That's what Justin Smith did to Gradkowski in that Tampa Game. Still got a flag.

BlackJesus is on a diet - this crush isn't 300 pounds

Unlike my usual 340 lb DT obsession, I had a pre-draft man-crush on Mays and wanted the Bengals to take him with the 1st rd pick that year (something I lobbied for). When he went to SF it was depressing.

Gladly, it all worked out.

Maybe the jinx is gone?
Maybe.

Considering my pre-draft crush in 2010 was Mays, and in 2011 was Dalton*. And now they have them both.

This year however, my main player crushes were Stephen Hill & Cordy Glenn. So I got fucked.

* also wanted Julio Jones or Von Miller to be fair @ #4

Dude its preseason everyone is playing vanilla there's zero game plan and he's played a total of 3 quarters. Once the season.starts hees going to be targeted deep you can guarantee that. I've seen him at USC for four years and at the senior bowl and Mays is horrible at playing the ball and in deep coverage. Hopefully they will keep him around the line of scrimmage.

Remember the good times.
