October 23, 20186 yr comment_1573986 The only way to get Mike Brown to react is to embarrass him personally. Not easy to do but our old punter Lee Johnson did it and so did Carl Pickens.

They have TV money, sponsorship money, etc. that makes empty seats a much smaller deal than it used to be. Teams don't even scream for luxury boxes any more. Look at Arrowhead. They could easily build a new stadium there, but why bother? And this is why most of the league hates Mike Brown. Most owners are spending money and busting their asses to make this league as valuable as possible. You can hate Jerry Jones but he has spent billions making the Cowboys and the NFL a lucrative world wide brand. Mike Brown just rides their coattails and cashes revenue sharing checks.

October 24, 20186 yr comment_1574035 Yeah this is hardly the only team being subsidized, but who else has such a reputation for being cheap and inept? Taking league money while flirting with minimum cap figures probably does piss off the money guys. They want some kind of return on that investment, and if the Bengals aren't moving merch then they can at least serve as a scapegoat/punching bag. Fandom aside, it's hard to argue with from a business perspective. TANSTAAFL.
