I don't think there's another team in the league that has as many player options as this seasons Reds

What a luxury for Bell to have .

 

Here's a different lineup.

2......India 

SS ..McLain

3B  ..Marte

RF ...Benson

CF... .Elly

LF....Steer

DH ...Freidl

I'm going to flip the above mentioned around.

2B. ..McLain

SS. ...Marte

RF.....Fraley

DH..  Benson

That's not even considering Jaimer Candalario..

 

Krall also has 18 pretty good pitchers vying for a spot..

 

This depth  if nothing else is made for a long season with injuries occuring.

 

 

This could be a scary team..

Definitely upgraded the bullpen.

They've added to the pitching staff.

Green and Lodolo have to be healthy.

As of today David Bell has deemed

Nick Lodolo and Matt McLain as 

injured and hopefully back before spring training is over.

McLain reinjured his oblique and Lodolo still with the leg problem.

He'll start in minors since signing late to see what he had left.

Krall signed 3B Jeimer Candilaria 

so I'd expect he:ll start there .

McLain and Elly play second and SS.

 

Spencer Steer is slotted for LF but he's another option at third if need be.

As for India..

He's being  groomed  to play anywhere they need him and he has the ability to do so.

 

He's a leader in the clubhouse.

Very valuable commodity to have .

They were in first after the break last year. The team is better this year at the start of the year than it was at the start of the year last year. It should be better positioned for a post season birth this year than it was last year.

I agree last year was last this year and this year they are less last year for next year.  Last year they are this year starting next year's last year better.
