The First Liberty Institute recently did a study on where states ranked on protection religious freedom. Ohio tied for 5th, which doesn’t surprise me. What did surprise me was the #1 state - that oh-so-conservative state of….Illinois.

I'd love to know how they quantify "religious freedom". Did they finally win the War on Christmas?

 

A lot of people think that means being allowed to deny their employees birth control through their workplace insurance plan.

It was measured by the number of safeguards in state constitution and laws ranging from absentee ballots (??) to allowing students to leave school for religious based instruction during school hours,  marriage and weddings, and the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

One goal of Project 2025 is selling off public lands and removing restrictions on mining, timber, etc.  80 year old ham-planets wearing diapers don't do a lot of hiking and such, as it turns out.  Going outside is part of the liberal agenda.
