We would need some WR depth

DT would need a top player but Hill could be back.

There is a decent chance both Bell and Brown are back. That's your Safety and Tackle position settled

Hilton is maybe gone and replaced by Turner or Anthony or Newton.

QB=You will eventually want a PS QB who can take over for Browning. I don't think that's Woodside. Don't need to worry about this until 2025

RB=Milton is interesting. Williams is probably on 1-year contracts in perpetuity. His special teams play and ability to have success in short stints probably doesn't age poorly. Milton as a great add for the long term.

WR=I am sure Irwin can be had back similar to Williams. Higgins is gone. Chase will be paid. They will want to hedge Burton with an early pick I would bet. Yoshi-Jones are both solid. The 3 practice squad guys could all be fringe roster guys.

TE=Gesicki might get a big payday if he has a big year. Hudson is probably on the Irwin-Williams model. You are set here if All or McClachlan show anything this year. Sample can be released after 1 year easily but I don't think that's in the cards

OL=All 5 starters back. Lee and Kirkland back for next 4 years. Hopefully we have something there. Ford is probably back pretty easily. Brown might be trickier. Will be thinking about an early Guard next year with Volson and Cappa 26 Free Agents and Cappa maybe falling off a bit last year.

ST=Adomitis is restricted this year but should be back long term. His predecessor played here for 12 years or something. That's the model. Hopefully find a punter soon.

DT=Lots of new faces. Hill will probably be back but you never know. Aging here but added youth with draft picks and PS. Tufele and Carter are probably my least favorite Bengals. Hoping for an upgrade here.

DE=Top 3 are likely back with Johnson and Henry as well. Ossai is tricky because I hope he plays so well he signs a big contract somewhere else.

LB=Top 2 back and then ADG and Bachie are free agents. Heyward and Nongmeta probably slide right in.

S=If Bell goes Battle is capable. Stone is just on a 2 year deal. This is somewhat influx but its clear what they value and Stone and Bell are probably here longer than their current deals.

CB=CTB is a FA after 2025. Lots of questions here but the room if full of studs. If Hill is solid we have him for 3 years. Something I hadn't considered.

DE and CB will be the biggest needs next year IMO. Ossai has had a history of injuries, I like the kid, but I don't want to spend money on a guy who cant stay healthy. Hendrickson and Hubbard are not getting younger and Murphy is the only young DE we have after Ossai. I think DE becomes a 1st round need IMO. I would not mind giving Hilton a 1 year extension at 30 years old, but I want to see how our young DBs play this year, if they ball out we might just need depth instead of a starter. Battle will move back to being a starter after Bell leaves next year. Again depth.

Much of this is really early and we need to see how guys play this year to have a feeling on what we need. Maybe Burton balls out and leaves Tee leaving with less sting? Maybe we find out our RBs are only guys that are RB by committee and none the type that prevent defenses from playing cover 2? Maybe Jackson shows he can be a good NT?

Right now in the "way too early" draft, I think DE is the only real need to consider. But there is going to be need for depth in a few places.

You could toss in OL as well.  Volson is Volson.  Terrible!  Karras and Cappa are both average to slightly above average.

The OL depth was horrible last year and thankfully all 5 played all 17 games yet we still lost Joe before seasons end!

Jury is still out on the OL depth this year and hopefully we don't have to find out but we can't count on a repeat of last

year's OL health.  Protecting Joe should be priority #1!

You and me both brother!  The only place he's had success was in Dallas where he

basically had 4 first round picks and a 7 year vet.  Which is an anomaly and kind of

hard to screw up and they let him walk!  I just hope he doesn't screw up Mims somehow.

I wish they could have gotten bill Callahan watch how good the titans o line is with him

Me too but with his son going to the Titans that wasn't going to happen unfortunately.  Maybe next year

we can pluck Callahan's asst. OL coach or go after someone else.  The Wisconsin Badgers have produced

a lot of OL in the NFL currently.  So has USC, Penn St. and Notre Dame.  Check out those guys.  Someone!  lol

Trayveon is a favorite of mine due to his productivity at anything they've

assigned him to.

We have lil power backs in Brown and Moss so I could see this big horse in short down and goal line plays...

I think he'll be RB3 with Williams going to PS..
