akiliMVP
It's Browns week! Now that the Browns have lost to the second worst team in the NFL, all the Superbowl and playoff talk can stop. Now let's take a look at our "competition" for this Sunday. Against the 3-13 Saints: - The Browns had 18 TOTAL yards and no first downs in the first HALF of play. - The "next Kosar", 16-27 132 yds, 1 TD, 2 INT, 1 FUM (53 QB rating) - Leading rusher was Frye with 44 yds. Droughns had 11 carries for 27 yds (2.4 ypc). Keep in mind that the Saints were 27th against the run last year, and 28th in points allowed. - The Browns new and improved o-line allowed 5 sacks, the Saints were 31st in sacks last year with only 25 all year. Who was 32nd? The Browns, and they continued the trend with 0 sacks against the Saints. - Greatest receiver ever Braylon "I like to wear pink" Edwards was held to just 23 yards on two catches. - The Browns continued the trend of horrendous run defense, allowing over 150 yds rushing. - This was a home game for the Browns, and they were beat by one of the least talented teams in the NFL. The Bengals just held the best runningback in the NFL to 68 yards rushing, with two new linebackers starting on defense. Shut down the #1 offense in the NFL to only 10 points, with the only touchdown coming in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. Forced 7 sacks and 3 turnovers. Scored 23 points with a rusty Palmer and no Housmandzadeh, who will most definitely play this week. David Pollack should be back and starting on sunday, as well as punt retuner and fourth receiver Antonio Chatman. PBS is going to go fucking crazy with Palmer playing his first regular season game at home, so unless the team's plane crashes, you don't stand a chance in hell. Le Tigre
Even if I had the energy to want to run trash at this pathetic lawsuit-produced expansion franchise, I doubt I would waste more than a fart in its general direction. And where the hell do they get this "60 years" shit? Even if you grant their plastic dog faced fat assed myth that they are still the team that had PB and Jim Brown, there are still 3 years missing, right? On top of that, they were in some defunct rat-assed nothing league called the All American Football League or some such shit for 4 other years. Make that 53 then. Or better yet...really only 8. I can't hate too much on holograms or facsimiles. Their dufus followers however....

akiliMVP
To add to the inevitablity of destroying the Browns, their 2nd reciever and prized offseason pick up Joe "career #3" Jurevicious is out for the next 4-6 weeks. Those offseason pickups are turning out to be real winners! - Bentley out for season before preseason - Jurevicious out for 4-6 weeks - Left tackle Kevin Schaffer part of unit that gave up 5 sacks - Nose tackle Ted Washington anchored a line that gave up 150+ yards rushing. - New outside linebackers, and supposed sack artists, Whimbley and McGinest combine for 0 sacks and 5 tackles. At least the punter they got is getting a lot of action!
