Instead of batting Patterson in the 5th with Bako on 2nd and no out, I think you could have brought in Hopper and had him put a bunt down the 3rd base line. Penny's not going to go after Bako, plus if he bunts it well enough the 3rd baseman has to come off the bag. Further, Hopper has the speed that he likely beats it out.
