Palmer Done for the Season

Recommended Posts

why in the world would anyone want a 1st round runningback? dont you guys follow the draft? look at the runningbacks drafted every year... its not difficult to get one later in the draft and the success rate of those taken in the 1st round isnt that great

we need linemen on both sides before we think about rbs
what so wrong with that draft? Picks 1, 2, 3, and 4b were solid and Kooistra has been good enough to keep around through a second contract. (Before you argue Washington, take into consideration how much of an opportunity he was given once Henry got here).
Here are Kelley's stats:

2008 New England Patriots 2 0 1 3 3.0 3 0 -- -- -- -- -- -- --
2007 New England Patriots 14 0 -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
2006 Cincinnati Bengals 5 1 9 115 12.8 22T 1 -- -- -- -- -- -- --
2005 Cincinnati Bengals 7 0 10 101 10.1 18T 1 -- -- -- -- -- -- --
2004 Cincinnati Bengals 16 2 31 378 12.2 28 3 1 -1 -1.0 -1 0 -- --
2003 Cincinnati Bengals 16 3 22 299 13.6 51T 4 1 5 5.0 5 0 -- --
TOTAL 73 896 12.3 51 9 2 4 2.0 5 0 0 0

896 total yards in the NFL???? Solid Pick???

Steinbach is decent, but we could not hold on to him, so what is he really worth to us? Or, is that an indication of poor management? Wish we had him at guard or center right now. Hell---didn't he even play some LT??

I guess really, overall, is this a great draft considering our draft position (#1 each round) and number of picks?

And, how is JJ solid? He can't even control his weight to stay on the field. What kind of desire to be great does that guy have?

Quit making sense please.

Check out where Frank Gore, Brandon Jacobs, etc. were drafted people.

Look who Washington has played behind on both teams....Chad, TJ, Henry, Moss, and Welker. You're only going to get so many touches.

as far as JJ, I think 2003-2006 speaks for itself as far as what he meant to the offense.

That is less than 150 yards per year. Under 10 yards per game. That is pretty pathetic. Even if you are a #3 or #4 option.
Uncertainty on Palmer's schedule for return to action
By Mike Wilkening

Updated at 9:59 a.m. EDT Monday. Oct. 20

Bengals QB Carson Palmer’s right elbow injury will likely keep hin out of the team’s Week Eight game at Houston, head coach Marvin Lewis indicated two days before the Bengals’ Oct. 19 game vs. Pittsburgh. Palmer has missed three games, two since returning for the Week Five game at Dallas, when he lacked the ability to make his full range of throws. The Bengals’ bye is Week 10, and with only two more games until the bye, it would not be a surprise if Palmer was out until at least the Week 11 game vs. Philadelphia. A source close to the club notes that Palmer badly wants to play again this season. And with the injury not considered season-ending, and with surgery not in the cards at this time, there’s a chance he’ll take the field again this season. Fourth-year QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has struggled in three starts in place of Palmer, with the club failing to score more than 14 points in any of those games.
