I have explained this before...I like debating/arguing. I come here because people have different opinions than mine.

I keep it in this forum, so if all you want to read is Bengals fans stroking each other...stay in the other forum.

This particular "competition" started between Jamie and I last year. I think it is funny, and he seems to be a good sport about it. If you dont like it, nobody is forcing you to read it.

Buh-bye.
You're not debating Ben's many feats anymore, now you're debating rules by which to justify Ben's many feats...

Thanks for the update.

I'll periodically stop by just to see what the trailer park crowd is currently bantering about...

there's a good one... feel like I'm in the 5th grade again. But, don't worry about it I felt like that reading most of your other posts too.

Here's another one... why would I when I can just hop on here and look up your posts???

If you dont like my posts, just dont read them. You seem to think you are so very superior to me...yet that simple concept still eludes you.

Your comrade started the trailer park talk, not I.

Anyway, that is pretty clever how you spelled Steeler with an A, such subtle yet witty humor. Did you come up with that yourself? You may have a career in comedy.
I don't give a shit what you do, to be honest... does it really matter? I get the sensation of beating my head against a fence post either arguing or reading the back and forth between yourself and several other BENGAL fans... you know posting on a BENGALS website.

I mean, you're a Steelers fan, on a Bengals board, arguing how great your quarterback is...

AND, it isn't like it is a one time occurrence. That is what is funny.

I was just trying to get a clarification before you started posting blog postings, etc. or articles from www.behindthesteelcurtain.com as authoritative material to support your arguments.
Offt and other STEALER fans are pretty much alike. In the wake of two recent tainted Super Bowl wins*, they are reaching out to non-stealer fan boards to get even the smallest morsel of stealers praise to make them feel better. Offt, you should make it a lot easier on yourself and just go to the Cincinnati Enquirer Bengals board. They'll suck your dick all day and all of the night. The administrator for the board is even a stealers fan.

While I certainly can't vouch for any of the other Steeler fans here, I can tell you that I personally come here simply because I like the different perspective, not just with respect to the Steelers, but the NFL in general. The problem with rooting for a team that is always competitive is that you really start to lose perspective on things. If you go to a Steeler board, you'll often find post after post of guys complaining about the most mundane things. Things that very few other teams would even think twice about.

There was one Steeler board in particular that never ceased to amaze me. If someone who knew nothing of the NFL browsed the posts on the forums, that person would have sworn Dick Lebeau was the worst defensive coordinator in the world. Nevermind the two Super Bowls his defense hand delivered to the city of Pittsburgh. Nevermind the top 5 ratings every year. Nevermind any of that. He, according to the users on that forum, was terrible and should have been fired.

So, it's nice to go to an outside forum and get a view of what the real problems around the league are and what rival fans consider to be our weaknesses. I don't spend a ton of time arguing those points (at least, in the regular forums. The Smack-Talk forum has a different purpose :D ) or defending anything. I make a few non-pointed remarks, explain my logic, then let everyone else debate it. I understand I'm on a rival forum and my team's going to get attacked. That doesn't bother me at all.

I searched for several Bengal, Brown, Raven boards, and this one seemed to be the one that had most of what I was looking for.

Of course, one of the other reasons I come here is to get Steeler news. The inferiority complex that hovers Bengal fans like a monstrous, dark cloud ends up working to the advantage of the Steeler fans that frequent this place. Every time some journalist writes something about how the Steelers do something slightly better than the Bengals, it has a funny way of popping up on these boards and staying at the top of the threads list for weeks at a time.

The Steelers board that I'm a member of attracts about 20-30 posts per day in the offseason (probably over 50/day in-season), and I don't think they post half the Steeler-related articles that end up being posted here. It's nice to have a site that serves two purposes!

10. Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Steelers: Two Super Bowl titles in five seasons is amazing. He seems to grow as a passer each season. The game can be won on his right arm, which he showed in the Super Bowl.

26. Carson Palmer, QB, Bengals: Coming off arm problems, he's back throwing again, which is why he's this high. When he's healthy, he might be even higher. Bashers take note: Brady stays in the second spot coming off his injury, so Palmer stays this high.

Yeah, I remember the Superbowl well.

The Steelers running game was on fire, racking up about 200 yards.

The Steelers defense kept the Cardinals to 3 points and about 100 total yards.

And then, to top it all off Santonio Holmes threw himself a perfect pass in the back of the end zone for the go ahead touchdown...it was a thing of beauty.
Since when should a receiver have to fully extend out of bounds to catch a perfect pass?
Only an Bengals fan would question that throw. Here let me sum it up for you...

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/9173230...er-Bowl-nuggets
I mention that to properly put in context what Roethlisberger accomplished against all odds, capping the eight-play drive with the classic throw to Santonio Holmes. And make no mistake -- that was a tremendous THROW before we even get into the catch.

http://superbowl.fanhouse.com/2009/02/04/r...r-bowl-perform/
"It was a very tight throw," Jaworski said. "A terrific throw, and most guys wouldn't attempt that throw. ... The accuracy was just uncanny. There was one spot to put the football."

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1...e_real_mvp.html
Santonio Holmes was named Super Bowl MVP but anyone who watched the game knew Ben Roethlisberger was the real MVP.

I'm sure that I'm not the only one that would argue if it was "perfect". But nothing to put Ben's cock in your mouth about. It was a decent pass, he hung it out there and Holmes went and got it. Only a stealer fan would say that the pass was perfect. And Jaws is a sensationalist.

This was voted on by players in the AFC North.

http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afcnorth/0-3-172/Player-survey--Top-QB-and-toughest-player.html

Best QB: Ben Roethlisberger

When it comes to quarterbacks, it was clear that winning matters most when gaining respect among players in NFL locker rooms.

"You can't argue with two Super Bowls," said one rival when voting for Pittsburgh's Ben Roethlisberger as the division's best quarterback.

Said another opponent, "It's not even a question."

According to AFC North players, the only real question in this category turned out to be who is the second-best quarterback in the AFC North.

Most opponents were split nearly down the middle between Carson Palmer of the Cincinnati Bengals and Joe Flacco of the Baltimore Ravens. Palmer edged Flacco by a 7-5 vote to earn second place.
