Did anyone see War of the Worlds yet? I'm going to watch a movie tonight with the wife, and I'm wanting to see that one. Is it worth it? Although, I'm pretty sure that will be the one, since much of it was taped up this way. Hometown pride, I guess.
watched the trailer for red eye and definately looks like a shitty love story but then twists but i went to the red eye website and read the synopsis and would have never guessed thats what the movie is about.

I will not be seeing this flick.

Here's the pitch for greenlight: Um well it's like confidential, except it got the Hot Box from "The Notebook" instead of Jamie Foxx, and instead of Tom Cruise well we got some other guy. Oh and instead of it a Taxi it's an Airplane.

Just saw F4. I didn't think it was bad. I wish they would have spent a little more time being the F4 and less trying not to. Oh, Jessical Alba  gets naked a few times. But dammit, she's invisible every time! It was fun and entertaining, but would have been better with more superhero action.
I watched Troy on HBO last week. Wow, I'm glad I didn't go to the theater for that one!
You mean you didn't enjoy the gratuitous Brad Pitt ass shots with the homesuxual overtones of all half dressed male battle, with sweat poruing down Brads glistening biceps as they dampen his bleach blonde hair.

its entertaining and depending on your expectations its worth the money... it is full of action and some of the best action scenes take place in a sequence within tim robbins(?) house, but the movie could have definitely been done better with better character development and clearer explanations, but if your just looking for some cheap entertainment this will definitely do it

p.s. if your anything like me you will start praying for tom cruise's character to kill off the little kids within the first 15 minutes of the film

I knew the movie was going to be "problematic" when I saw the subtitle, "The Port of Sparta", listed in the second or third scene. Kinda like seeing, "The Port of Denver" or "the Port of Atlanta."

Another thing that irks me about these pseudo-history movies is that the actual history is usually more interesting and compelling that the bullshit plots screenwriters come up with.

When (if) the recent Oliver Stone-fantasy on Alex the Great shows up on cable, I'll probably watch that, too, even though I know the history is terrible in that as well.

They don;t make 'em like "The Lion in Winter" or "A Man for All Seasons" anymore.

Yes, very entertaining. Plenty of action throughout the entire movie. As far as structure is concerned, yes, too much action. There was too much of a second act, and not enough resolution. The ending was abrupt. My wife was hillarious. Some of those aliens were scaring her, and she held on tight to my hand the whole time, squeezed the hell out of it. As far as the kids, no, I just took them as normal kids that come out of a divorced family.

Oh, get real. Cillian Murphy is a better actor than Jamie and Tom. Red Eye is gonna kick ass.

Wow, I thought Batman Begins was great. Yeah, it took a little while to get to Batman, but I thought it was very well done overall.

Movies is another form of art... Its all in the eye ( or mind ) of the beholder.

I saw Fantastic 4 and it was ok.

Spiderman > X Men > Blade > Fantastic 4 = Daredevil = Hulk > Punisher

It has virtually no action and they would be better off making a sequal about Thing and Human Torch. In fact they need to do some of the fights in the comics, a Thing vs Hulk movie or Wolverine vs Hulk. But, the F4 is a dull comic and it translates into a dull movie

i thought War of the Worlds wasn't close to worth the money.. Many cheesy parts and the ending was war to abrupt, it was almost as if they relized they were running long on movie time so they ended the movie in 5 mins.. don't waste the money to see in theaters, wait till its on DVD

Believe it or not, but The Punisher is one of my prob AT LEAST top 15 movies of all time. I LOVE that movie, and I LOVE the Punisher character.

And the Hulk should be at the bottom of any list. Hell, if there was a list about the best movie starring a green Marvel comic book monster, it would still be at the bottom, IMO.

I enjoyed F4, especially some of the Jessica Alba shots. It would have been nice if they spent more time being the F4 and less time trying not to. But I believe there will be sequels that will have more action (I hope).

She was very nice in the movie. Does anyone know if she (Invisible Girl) is the mother of the human torch in the comic books?
