A naked man was shot dead by Miami police as he chewed at the face of another naked man.

The circumstances of the horrific attack are still unknown – and the victim remains in hospital with grave injuries.

The gruesome drama unfolded on Saturday off the city's MacArthur Causeway, with the aftermath captured on film by a Miami Herald surveillance camera.
Witness Larry Vega told WSVN-Fox 7 he saw a man biting the victim’s face.

He said: “I told him to get off and the other guy just kept eating the other guy away.”

The cyclist notified police, who ordered the man to stop.

Vega added: “The guy just stood, his head up like that, with pieces of flesh in his mouth. And he growled.”

The officer fired, but the man continued to chew, prompting him to continue shooting, eventually killing him.

Police say the attacker may have been suffering from a drug-induced mania which causes the body to heat up, causing some users to strip off, the Miami Herald reported.
Armando Aguilar of the Miami Fraternal Order of Police suggested the drug may have been a new form of LSD.

He told NBC 6: "Seventy-five to 80 percent of his face was missing, and he was actually swallowing pieces of the man's face."

I think this guy was possessed by a demon, I don't think drugs will make you make chew people's faces off and act like a animal. Everyone is assuming drugs but there are no signs of drugs on the scene and toxiology reports have yet to confirm that he was on drugs.

FYI, I believe in things like vampires, demons, etc...to think that humans are the only evolved intelligent life forms is naive, imo.

Well, is it that far of a stretch if you believe in God, Jesus, the "Devil" etc...Are you saying that demons are not real?

How do you explain their existence in many different cultures throughout the world that had no contact with each other?
Also, what makes you believe in vampires, demons, etc.? I'm sure people do bite necks and shit but living immortals that die in the sun?
I think that vampires and the lot are real because of their existence in culture isn't by accident, I don't believe in coincedence as everything happens for a reason. Maybe you don't understand the reason, but there is one. Not to mention there have been numerous historical recordings of vampires or vampire like creatures throughout the world, dating back to Babylonia and Assryia.

I'm not a big religious person. I do go to church and I do pray, but I often question... but that's me being a sinner I suppose. I try not to question, but I'm not a liar, and I would be lying if I said I didn't.

Anyway, I see where you're coming from with your Jesus, God, etc. comparison. Just because you haven't seen something does not mean that it isn't there.

The no contact thing... well, no matter where you are, there's fucked up people who drink blood everywhere. Once the word "vampire" or "blood drinker" or whatever hit mainstream, I'm sure that is probably what everyone referred to it has in their own language. And just like every freaky ass story, shit gets changed around...

"A guy was sucking on a girl's neck."
"A guy was sucking blood from a girl's neck."
"A guy bit a girl's neck, sucked, her blood, and ran off into the field."
"A guy drank a girl's blood and ran off into the night."
"A guy drank a girl's blood and vanished."
"That motherfucker is a vampire."

All they were doing was making out...

Well, the "demon" is dead. The dude without a face... I would assume he's alive.

If the demon lived, I wonder WTF he would have thought after he came off his high (if he was doped up). I feel so bad for the homeless guy. what a fucked up thing to happen.

Here's a pretty good article about mephedrone (the active ingredient in most of these "bath salts") and what it actually does:

http://www.forbes.co...eyre-dangerous/

This case was a combination of mental illness and sleep deprivation/psychosis. The drugs didn't suddenly turn an otherwise-normal dude into a cannibal.

Yes, this is cannibalism. Dude was not dead, and therefore not a zombie. I like Walking Dead, too, but let's calm the fuck down here.

Also, in reference to "demons": You're free to believe in anything you want, but you are confusing "existence" with "stories". There are stories of demons and evil spirits in many cultures, yes. That does not equate to proof of their existence. You're referencing cultures that were largely ignorant of brain function or mental illness. To the uneducated, an epileptic seizure may appear as demonic possession. We, however, live in modern times and are (theoretically at least) educated about such things. I'm not suggesting that science can explain everything, but in cases where it has, it's a bit ignorant to dismiss empirical research in favor of one's belief system. A thoughtful person should be able to reconcile the two.

'Zombie Apocalypse Continues?' Man Eats 40-Pound Pet Dog

A man who was high on synthetic marijuana reportedly ate his family dog alive. Just as the "zombie apocalypse" hysteria began to subside, another man in a psychotic meltdown makes national news.

Michael Daniel, a Texas man from Waco, was arrested for eating his family's nearly 40-pound pooch, on Monday. He faces felony animal cruelty charges, according to police.
Daniel allegedly was "on his hands and knees and chased a neighbor while barking and growling like a dog," according to KWTZ.

After his deranged behavior frightened his neighbors, he turned to his black dog that was sitting on the porch and beat and strangled the dog. When he had sufficiently injured the pup, Daniel began to eat him.

Waco Police Sgt. Patrick Swanton told KWTZ that he "began to bite into the dog, ripping pieces of his flesh away."

By the time officers arrived at the scene Daniel had "blood and fur around his mouth," Swanton explained to KXXV.

He allegedly pleaded with officers for them to use a stun gun on him so he could get off his "bad trip."

Officer Swanson explained that the police did not fight or stun Daniel, but instead they took the blood-drenched man to the hospital, according to the Daily News.
The dog did not survive the brutal attack, KAIT reported.

Daniel explained to his neighbors that he was high on synthetic marijuana, sometimes called K-2, or Spice.

The psychoactive drug can actually be bought legally. It's made up of natural herbs and then sprayed with chemicals. The drug gives the user a quick high, but it often triggers paranoia and anxiety.

In Daniel's case, it made him psychotic enough to devour his dog.

We always said we would try to inhabit a small island. If it was already inhabited, we'd eradicate if possible. There's an archipelago type place NE of ATL that looked good. However, we're too far away and would have to opt for something closer to home until most the zombies starved off. One thing I just thought of... what if an infected bir flew to your island? Hmmm... I guess you could put up safety nets to keep out birds but where would you find nets that large? Maybe trying to build an indoor community would be wise.

The problem with an island would be supplies are likely to be limited, depending on the size of an island. I think a small farm in Montana a few miles out from a mid sized city would be ideal.

You get the seclusion, land to keep animals/plant crops, closeness to city for supply run.

Did you watch Walking Dead? Those zombies can move a distance. I wouldn't feel comfortable without a barrier.

You can be self-sustaining on an island as long as you don't grasshopper around. Farm for three seasons and shelter the fourth. You could always boat to land and go out on searches for anything you don't have and anything you may want.

I'm not talking a 25 yard island either... I'd think something a 2-4 miles wide and thick would be ideal. Well, I guess that would be pending how much people are there with you.

And say it started... who would be the most valuable people?

Medical?
The hunter?
An athlete?

I would guess if you had one of each out there it would suffice. Your athlete would be your laborer and your runner/scout, the medical would medicate of course, and your hunter would feed you.

Any other must haves or close to must haves?
