Jason Posted April 8, 2019 Author Report Posted April 8, 2019 Well, it didn’t take long for this season to crash and burn.
Jason Posted April 11, 2019 Author Report Posted April 11, 2019 2 homers in the bottom of the 8th to take the lead!!
Jason Posted April 11, 2019 Author Report Posted April 11, 2019 ...and this one belongs to the Reds!!!
T-Dub Posted April 16, 2019 Report Posted April 16, 2019 https://www.mlb.com/news/yasiel-puig-homers-against-dodgers They're hitting that Bengals sweet spot of good enough to watch but not good enough to get your hopes up! (& like the Bengals, that's an improvement so I'll take it for now)

Go Skins Posted May 8, 2019 Report Posted May 8, 2019 Mike Fiers throws his 2nd career no hitter against Cincy (300th no hitter in MLB history): https://www.mlb.com/news/athletics-mike-fiers-throws-no-hitter
CincyInDC Posted May 9, 2019 Report Posted May 9, 2019 Good News. I thought MLB.TV had auto renewed for the season, but my credit card info wasn't stored, so when I finally (today) got around to logging in, I couldn't.

T-Dub Posted May 19, 2019 Report Posted May 19, 2019 Everybody remain calm but they've actually been playing pretty well recently
T-Dub Posted May 19, 2019 Report Posted May 19, 2019 OK I take it back.. I think Puig has them all smelling their own farts a bit. 5 games under .500, winning a few in a row is nothing more than a nice gesture. Maybe go easy on that shoulder lean when you're jogging off a useless solo HR? Radio yutz says they are 0/8 on Sundays so far this year
JC Posted May 20, 2019 Report Posted May 20, 2019 Thought I heard they were some ridiculous margin of losses in 1 run games compared to the rest of the league. Think Iggy being shaky has hurt. Hopefully they get Wood and Scooter back and can right the ship before it gets to the point they have to sell.

Yeah I really don't understand what their strategy is for the next few years, like what was the point of renting Puig for one season? I can't imagine extending him.
Jason Posted June 17, 2019 Author Report Posted June 17, 2019 It's just shocking that this team has the #2 ERA in the NL playing half their games in Great American Launching pad and has a losing record. The next lowest team ERA with a losing record is 0.8 runs higher.

Jason Posted June 29, 2019 Author Report Posted June 29, 2019 ...and this one belongs to the Reds!!!!! I love beating the Cubs almost as much as the stealers.
T-Dub Posted July 9, 2019 Report Posted July 9, 2019 So are we gonna double down or cash in our chips? Trying to game the system & do both has been a disaster for that other team in town we're always talking about. Aside from the fan outreach, sense of direction, obvious & clearly-stated desire to win not just "The Big One" but as a consistent expectation, the investment, the willingness to take smart risks but also admit mistakes & move on as best as they can (Bye-bye, Bailey) the impatience with just being average & having hard standards... Where was I going with this... Oh yeah, the one thing both teams have in common besides ZIP code is the need to make some tough decisions about the roster.
T-Dub Posted July 13, 2019 Report Posted July 13, 2019 Tried to listen to some of Inside Pitch on WLW on the way home. All I got from it is that Chick Ludwig is still an insufferable ass.
