Jeb Posted August 30, 2006 Report Share Posted August 30, 2006 June 15th, I was hacked. A trojan by the name of MASSAKER was left on my system. Nasty little bugger. I had to fix and replace several system files. Anyway, the hacker left footprints that led me back to a pissburgh ISP. Apparently, I was targeted for banishment from the Bengals.com website by this hacker. S/he did a nice job and you got to admit, its a neat trick until it happens to you. All that needs to be done is to steal my cookie and logon or logon using my computer, whichever would be easier or expedient. The only person I could get to talk about it with me was Andy Ware. About the only response was a "form" one in which he supports his mods decisions but had no knowledge of the incident. Well, I support the mods too but they didn't banish me. The hacker logged on, then hacked into their system and erased my account. That's the end of me over there. It was that easy and now all the mods know I'm banished, none of them actually did it, and they believe "the other guy (mod) must have done it" so they've circled the wagons. Its actually kind of funny in a way since they don't believe me when I say I was hacked (although I have proof) and yet they themselves were hacked last year in which their mods were completely locked out while the hacker flooded the place with porn. It must have taken them days to erase it all and yet they won't believe that I was hacked? Anyway, if anything like this happens to anyone here, just email these mods and I'm sure something can be done to fix it. These guys are real professionals. However, as we were once taught it is only a matter of time before the newest security measure is out of date. I don't know what its going to take to wake them up but eventually they'll figure out they have a problem. My guess is they'll lose about 50 people before they start to catch on. I figure I must have done something right for someone to go to all this trouble. I must have pushed someone's final-straw button. As for my system, Its been upgraded since then and I haven't had any further problems. Plus I now have multiple scanner software for all known problems and I learned how to use Hijackthis. Its been helpful. I'm stuck with a computer about 1 1/2 years old now but it still plays the games so no need to upgrade that yet. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I sent them an e-mail asking them exactly why I was banned, and never recieved a reply. I just think it`s shitty that I`ve been a Bengals fan for over 30 years, and got banned from my teams message board for not being sympathetic to a Stealers player.
