I'm now starting to wonder if they are making a move to formalize an H-back position for Orson Charles - and now need to also develop the requisite backup. "Talking about what happened to me at Arizona State isn't going to help the Bengals get even better," said Burfict when asked about his controversial college career that included 16 personal fouls. He admitted he can't wait "to hit," but he knows that is going to have to wait until the pads come on in training camp. "I'm a man guy. I'm used to playing up in people's faces," he said. "I worked on that in the offseason, knowing I was going to be asked to do more of that in the NFL." Kirkpatrick spent his first weekend as a pro last week in Las Vegas attending the Floyd Mayweather-Miguel Cotto fight. He says he's a fan of both Floyd and boxing, but he may have to play a few games to get a better ticket. My paraphrasing ML: Herron no pads on, we'll see how he does when pads are on. ML: Binns gets a chance to show what he learned last season. He gets to hear it from the ground floor. May understand better now. ML: in response to How important is speed at WR ? Need functional vertical speed. Need support habits (?) ML: in response to UDFAs. The WR group has done some nice things, LB from Kansas State done some nice things. Other LBs done ok. Gotta have body hold up. ML: in response to roster depth. We will work to get better and evaluate the young guys. ML: in response to 4 guys flunking physicals. Someone from the (?) will break through and show themselves. ML: blah blah blah...
