ROOKIE MINICAMP NOTES

I certainly do have a woody right now. I really can't remember the last time a rookie came in and had that particular attitude. Careful now, gotta calm down, hope starting to rise, think of something else, picture Katie Blackburn naked, ....
I certainly like the attitude.... But.... The one thing I noticed in his highlights was he always puts his head down for the hit. And the first thing I saw of him in the LB drills was he dropped his head down. I don't know how hard of a habit it will be for him to break. Excited to see what he can do.

not that you can take much out of 4 minute video on the first day of camp, but Armon Binns looks heads and shoulders better than the rest of the WR's (as he should, being on the team the longest). After that I'd go Jones, Moore, Sanu, Hazelton, Hilton, Rogers

As you said can't take too much, but I thought both Hilton and Rogers looked out of place next to the others in that short clip...

yea, I don't think Hilton looked awful, but I was really surprised at how slow Rogers looked considering he's supposed to be a speed demon.

Yeah, Binns and Marvin Jones stood out to me too.

I actually thought Binns was Jones at first considering how smooth he was running his routes (a strength of Jones').

On the RB video, who is wearing #31 (Sands number)? He's too tall to be Rodney Stewart, who was previously reported as assigned #37. But I didn't see #37 practicing with the RB's.

33 is Aaron Brown
34 is Dan Herron
35 is Develin James

The Enquirer reported that Morgan State FB Jourdon Brooks and Indiana State FB Brock Lough were there on a try-out today.

Craig Wilson DT Illinois. don't know what kind of football player he is, but he is really big at 6'4.5" 320 and can really move that bulk around. He just started playing d-line last season, so he's a work in progress. He's got the size of Jason Shirley, better movement skills, and none of the baggage. I know he's just a tryout guy,but I think this stuff is really interesting. And the signing of Tony Dye was a good move. I'm still waiting to hear why the four UDFAs failed their physicals. Brooks,Miller,Walker, and Ryan were among my favorite signings. Injury? Fitness? Anyone?
Jourdan Brooks. Is he a tailback or an actual FB? The little tape Ive seen shows him playing TB.

I wish there was more information on Dye's neck and ankle injury. He was pretty damn effective before those injuries. IF he is 100% healthy, this could be a very good signing.

It looks like he was used as a RB at Rutgers and Morgan St. According to Morgan State's website, he's 6'01" 245lbs.
http://www.morganstatebears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=2354

BTW, I think he is #31 on the Bengals RB video
