I said this in another post. I wouldn’t be surprised if it is a loyalty test, and the ones who don’t fall in line, he will campaign against in the next election if they’re up for reelection.

 

It will be interesting to see which senators put country above career and which ones kowtow to Trump.

 

How do you feel about Trump trying to bypass the confirmation process with recess appointments and trying to bypass the House control of the purse strings by changing or eliminating the Impoundment Control Act which forbids the President from eliminating funding that Congress has already allocated? He wants to control all 3 branches of government with no strings attached.

The senators that just got elected will outlast Trump by 2 years. If there are other senators up for reelection while he is still in office maybe its a loyalty test for the senators, but I think this is just Trump wanting sycophants around him.

There’s 33% of the senators up for reelection every 2 years, and this past election, there was a boatload of Democratic senators up for reelection, so I think the next election, there will be some Republican senators up for reelection.
