Clear from any rational observer that the Bengals were never gonna rush Burrow back in camp and that this was the likeliest return to practicing all along. I would guess if this were the regular season he would have been back a few weeks ago but they quite properly took their time to make sure he is 100% ready since there was no rush.

 

TL/DR - the national football media sucks so hard.

 

 

When Aaron Rogers went down earlier in the offseason with the same injury but was back in 2 weeks, I figured they were just being extra cautious with Joe, I suspect had this happened in the season he would have been playing in 2 weeks.
