  1. Past hour
  2. I've been looking for this, specifically, the "juror one" thing you mentioned where you said "she would do anything to keep Trump out of the White House." I've seen where one of the jurors said she disagreed with him politically about a lot, but would be able to keep that disagreement from interfering with the facts in the case, but nothing about "doing anything to keep Trump out of the White House."
  3. So it stands to reason that he is guilty of falsifying the documents. Seems pretty open and shut? This wasn't about a campaign violation it was about trying to keep a story quiet that might influence the election. The Obama comparison seems pretty flimsy, he wasn't doing anything like that from what I am reading here. https://www.politico.com/story/2013/01/obama-2008-campaign-fined-375000-085784 I also don't think he will get jail time for this and will pay a fine too. Personally, I don't care if he slept with Daniels. This is the least of the cases I care about. It's likely just a set-up case for when he has to face the other cases and won't be considered a first-time criminal at that point. The other cases, specifically the GA election interference and the classified documents case are far more serious to me. Jan 6 too. I think the one that is going to be the hardest to say he isn't guilty of and deserves the same treatment as anyone else who took classified documents and refused to give them back when they were asked, going as far as lying that he had them.
  4. Today
  5. CNN I believe. It was on several news feeds also, talking about the jury makeup.
  6. Yes, the same as Clinton did. He paid a fine, and it was still in the statute of limitations. Exact same scenario, an exact same style case. And yes, before you talk about it being in a political campaign violation, Barack Obama violated the same law but also paid a fine.
  7. ^ As an idea of what a bargain drafted players can be, Mims is projected to sign a 4 year 15.3 million deal (3.8 mill a year), with a 5th year option on the end. But if he were a free agent this off-season, some team would have offered a player like Mims a 4 year 80 mill deal, even without ever playing an NFL down. That is why some of these draft picks have to hit, as free agents are so exponentially expensive in comparison. For instance, Burton will make in 4 years, what Tee's tag will pay him in less than 4 games.
  8. Yeah, the Drew Sample contract made no sense. Our bigger problem is we don't have much depth. We've whiffed too many times recently in the draft with ADG and Trayveon Williams the only Bengals day 3 picks not still on their rookie deals, and they're on 1 year cheapies. Missing on day 2 picks like Carman and Carter has hurt too. Not to mention the lack of Day 1 guys picked before Burrow. So we've filled gaps with free agents, without overpaying anyone. That has mostly worked out ok. Agree that we have to look to 2025 with the roster decisions. My guesses as starters on the lines: 2024 DL: Hubbard, Rankins, Hill, Hendrickson 2025 DL: Hubbard, Jenkins, Rankins, Hendrickson 2026 DL: Hubbard, Jenkins, ? , Murphy 2024 OL: OBj, Volson, Karras, Cappa, Brown/Mims 2025 OL: OBj, Volson, Karras, Cappa, Mims 2026 OL: Mims, Volson, ? , ? , OBj I'll guess they extend Karras for a year or two, probably extend Volson by default, move on from Cappa, and put Mims on the left side if he's better protection for Burrow's blind side than OBj (which I think he will be). Zeus Jr may complain if his contract year is on the right side but if Mims plays better, as I expect, he'll have to live with it. Or maybe Pollack stunts Mims' growth and he stays on the right side. If the Bengals just doubled Stoutland's salary from the Eagles, it would be money well spent to go from a below average O-line coach to a top 3 guy. Not sure how they weren't able to hire Bill Callahan, either before hiring Brian or especially after that.
  9. We need Lippincott out there circling the fields at training camp like a shark.. scribbling on his tablet, shaking his head and muttering to himself. Strike fear in the whole damn depth chart, no more free rides. Drop a pass from Sheisty and face the wheel.
  10. Gotta look at 2025 as well. Both guards are FA's. Same issue with DL, 3 of the 4 starters are headed to FA in the next 2 years. They've invested a lot of draft picks in replacing them, Murphy-Sample-Carter, the pair of DT's this year.. I'd say at least 2 of those 5 need to show out, good chance they can keep Hubbard around for another 2-3 years, he's dependable & makes plays. I'm a fan but he's no Trey Hendrickson. Sample is making about twice as much as Gesicki this year. There's an out in Drew's contract but unless he gets mauled by an emu or something he's here until 2027. Jokes aside I don't hate that for the price but it's the same situation - 2 rookies hoping to be a starting TE next year. If he blows up like every TE on the field with Sheisty not named Drew Sample he's going to get paid, too. A 2-3 year extension could make sense here as well, he's only 28. Also like Hubbard he's been around & I think cares more about a ring than a big number on paper that he might realistically earn 2/3rds of & more dead cap hanging over the team. Not doing contracts that way is a good thing, they don't need to compete with an opponent's bad decisions. The question should be which of these rookie/2nd year guys looks like they'll be starting soon? Other than some of this year's draft class I'd say not many. I'm afraid to ask if they're determined to start 'em either way.
  11. No one, and I mean nobody, is getting all spun up to go to war for Joe Biden. That sort of rhetoric is entirely one-sided.
  12. With all of this salary/guaranteed money/cap hit/FA talk this may be the last season they can afford to say "Lombardi or bust". It's going to be extremely expensive to keep a competitive team with an elite QB and WR1 in small market Cincinnati. If only he had one more second...
  13. Can you provide a link to this information?
  14. Ive read many posts on this by a few on here that sees things somewhat like you. My thoughts on everything as it is, is a country that's headed for a tumble soon. Either Trump or Biden will lead to it. The country is to divided not to. So. WTF...
  15. It would make sense to extend Karras for a year, maybe 2. He's a team leader, still playing acceptably, and we don't have a replacement at hand. For Hilton, I think Dax will be his replacement. ADG and Irwin have already tested free agency and not found takers elsewhere, so they should be keepable at reasonable costs. Let's see what kind of season Trent Brown has and his availability. If Mims beats him out so Trent gets limited snaps and stays healthy, the team might keep him around due to his left/right versatility. Gesicki signed cheap to come here. If he balls out, the team might keep him but after signing Sample to a multi-year deal and drafting 2 new TEs, he's probably one and done. Ossai and Cam Sample are ok depth but losing either or both isn't painful. Er, why do we "have" to pay the CBs? CTB and Turner haven't shown much thus far in their short careers. We may be looking for upgrades from them. Getting younger on the lines means Mims starting (pretty likely), Lee showing something (maybe), and Murphy replacing Hubbard (could be). BJ Hill probably isn't going to be signed again with Rankins covering at 3T next to Jenkins.
  16. Jake Browning's contract is no obstacle at all. He makes less than Joe Bachie or Trayveon Williams.
  17. The Bengals are a pass-first team. We should at least have good pass blockers at every O-line position. It would be nice if several of them were also good run blockers, ala the Lions or Eagles.
  18. Yesterday
  19. Correction, the Blue Jackets have been pretty shit the last few seasons and have never made it beyond the quarterfinals. The cannon & Civil War kepi hat logos are fresh though. filthy casual
  20. All of it? Like I've said before - fuck Brandon I'm just voting to keep having elections. The other guy seems like he might be against it. Not a good combo when he also seems to think any election he loses must be rigged. Can you see where that leads?
  21. We may not see a lot of movement on the other FA's until he's inked. Unless they can rule out another top 5 WR franchise tag they won't be cutting big checks. I'ma be honest I'm not 100% sure what your gripe is exactly? I may even share it but I'm not sure... Chase will go through the whole song & dance just like every big name NFL player. Best we can hope is some other guy becomes the new highest paid WR and he's comfortable in the top 5 or so... Think they'll try to keep one of the LB's. It's another position they haven't drafted well, or at all since 2020. Logan Wilson has an out before 2026 but I doubt it gets used unless he gets mauled by an emu or something. The escalator goes from $8-10m/year through '27. If they want to get younger around him they'll have to get back on the horse and try again. Draft is it unless they plan to grow them in vats. Same with the OL, waiting until there's a hole in the depth chart to go after a young replacement & then forgetting about it until the 7th round won't get it done. If they don't want to extend the aging guys they have to to go draft these younger players and find out if they can play. I've seen nothing to suggest Pollack is going to turn a bunch of UDFA's into an honest starting-caliber OL. He's failed to do that with better draft picks and expensive FA's.
  22. Good to see burrow pouring a beer at his charity golf. I say that’s all clear. I hate Twitter/x . The wrist can handle beer it can handle football.
  23. OTAs run from Monday through Thursday of next week. The first open workout will be Tuesday, also media day. Not sure if Wednesday and Thursday are open workouts or not. However, all 3 days of mandatory minicamp the following week will be open to the media and public,
