SCHEDULE LEAKS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

Recommended Posts

A little birdie notified me a week or so ago that the Bengals would have three primetime games this season. This was before the preseason schedule was announced (which the Bengals have one on), but I don't believe that counts as one. Should be interesting.

To clarify that would include Thursday*/Sunday night/Monday night games.

*I would assume that they included Thursday

being a second shift worker i hate primetime games. If we get 3 primetime games not counting 2 friday night preseason games i will have to use 5 of my 16 vacation days. That and a kid being due in july means i will only get to do 2 road games this year.

I feel your pain being a 2nd shifter also that's why I like the Sat preseason games.

I feel your pain..... I work rotating 12 hour shifts on a 4 week rotation and work 2 out of 4 weekends. So needless to say I burn up quite a few vacation days during the season.... especially for road games. Do you have any idea what games Lenny is looking at for this year? I know he mentioned Seattle.....

Wahhhhhhhh! I'll only get to go to two road games this year.

But seriously, I haven't been to a game in like 5 years (before the Marvin / Carson era) and I have the means to purchase tickets...shit has just come up time and again, so please understand that you are extremely fortunate regardless of the fact that you may miss a couple of games. Might I suggest TIVO?

And for the record, the kid will be SO worth only getting to go to 2 road games this year. I'm sure many on this board would agree with me, and you will too...trust me!!!

Sell the tickets, start a mini-baby investment fund, and spend the vacation days at home with your wife and new child.

This will be my second child, and they are definatly worth it. By no means am i complaining about having a child. I just hate the friday night preseason games.

Working second shift, I spend more time with my 3 year old than the average parent. I wake up and hang out with her every day, I don't know what i'm going to do when she starts school, I will be at work by the time she gets home and won't be home untill she is in bed. As for selling the tickets, I could never sell tickets to a bengals fan over face value. So it wouldn't be worth selling them, just to get back what i paid for them.

I know you're not complaining. I'll admit that I had a really large glass of expensive scotch last night and I was feeling a bit too wordy. I do understand your plight my friend, and I'm sure you'll work it out.

I hate Monday, Thursday, and Saturday games just because they mess with the team. A short week to recover physically and game plan for the next opponent really hurts a team. The record for teams the week after a Monday night road game is terrible.

I also hate staying so late before a workday.

We'll see if this is correct, just some tidbits I heard...don't know the source personally, so the validity of this I can't be sure:

Obviously the season opener vs the Ravens.

Week 3 New England, Mon. night.

Sunday Night vs the stealers, don't know when or where.

Saturday game vs San Fran week 16.

end the season @ Miami.
