Tailgating in LOT C

Recommended Posts
Have the chance to tailgate in Lot C all this year at a pretty cheap price. Anybody tailgate here? Good place to tailgate?
I've been tailgating there since the stadium opened. It's a pretty good place to tailgate, especially when it rains. One of hte overpasses passes over this parking lot so if it's raining we're always the first people there and just park underneath the overpass to stay out of the rain. I've never tailgated in any other lot so I don't know how long those take to fill up but usually around 10 - 1030 it's pretty full. There's always loud tailgates going on and have met some great people. The only bad thing about it is the max amount of port-o-let's they've had in years past is 4 but I've found a way around that. You shouldn't be disappointed.

...better make sure that his "found a way around that" does not include peeing on others' legs. ;)

From what I hear, Lot C will be closing for construction after this year. My in-laws tailgate there and were offered a spot in a different lot this year because of the impending closure.

In my opinion, Lot C is good for family tailgating, but doesn't compare to Longworth Hall, which is where my friends and I set up shop. We have to get there by 7:30 to get the spot we want, and the lot is full within an hour of that. Definitely a younger crowd with more partying. In the end, it's all a matter of personal preference.

Very interesting and a "love it" or "hate it" reaction from many fans I'm sure. I see it as a good move assuming it can be evenly enforced at all stadiums, but that seems unlikely.
