Bengals Reconsidering Re-Signing Henry
Just read JT's comments about how seeing Slim would "light up" the locker room.

If our defensive captain says that, and we know how Carson feels, that's enough for me to be convinced that it would not be a problem chemistry wise. The only people who may not be happy about it are Simpson, Caldwell, and Chatman. But they can get over it.

Besides, we could just use him this year while the rookies develop. If he's good and makes it through the season, we could trade him at the end of the year. If he gets in trouble, he'll be out of the league or suspended.

Chris Henry update: Marvin Frazier, one of his representatives, said Saturday night he hasn't spoken to the Bengals in a while and doesn't expect his client to sign with a club until everyone gets back from training camp next week.

Some players are privately against the move, but Thornton, the Bengals defensive captain last season, understands if the Bengals re-sign him.

"If he's going to play for anybody in the league, why not here?" Thornton asked. "The Bengals took a lot of crap for him. Why let him go somewhere else, and he goes plays for Dallas and he becomes a superstar? He knows this offense.

"If he screws up, he's done. It's a one-strike policy. If everybody is comfortable, if the NFL is comfortable with it ... in my opinion, as a friend and a player, I think the locker room would light up just to see him back because everybody's been reading about how tough it's been with him with foreclosures and all that."
One Strike??? What were all of the other offenses, foul balls? My guess is the NFL will NOT be comfortable with it.

I'd say that the last one was a foul tip, and I don't believe his suspension is warranted. I mean he wasn't even convicted. Plus, what's worse, beating up a racist punk or running some one over and leaving the scene?

I find it humorous that since Sunday night, he has jumped back on the Browns bandwagon after predicting them to have a bad season a few weeks ago. Wonder where he's jumping tomorrow now that he's watched tonight's game...
