CINCINNATI -- Two of the most famous players in Cincinnati Bengals history earned their places among the other franchise greats.

Former Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson and former Bengals quarterback Boomer Esiason were officially enshrined in the Bengals' Ring of Honor during halftime of Monday's game against the Los Angeles Rams. The two members who comprised the 2023 class were honored with an on-field ceremony that also included some of the front office, including executive vice president Katie Blackburn.

Many former Bengals players and coaches were in attendance for the big prime-time game.

Former head coach Marvin Lewis, defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer, wide receiver Cris Collinsworth, cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones and wide receiver TJ Houshmandzadeh were some of those who were spotted on the field for the game.

Esiason played with the Bengals for 10 seasons. He helped Cincinnati win the AFC Championship Game in the 1988 season, was named the league's MVP and is third in franchise history in passing yards (27,149) and passing touchdowns (187).

Johnson is the franchise's all-time leader in receiving yards (10,783). He played for the Bengals from 2001 to 2010 and was named to two All-Pro teams and was a six-time Pro Bowler.

But he was just as notable for his diverse array of touchdown celebrations that brought him national stardom.

Reminds me of the way he coached..😎

isnt he the winningest coach in bengals history?

i always feel these ceremonies on the field are rushed and shitty for the players, but i realized they have like 8 minutes doing it at halftime, and that they do the dinner/speech thing the night before, but feels like an afterthought when they do it... like toss in a 1 minute video of highlights and stats or something.

Guy just could never score, amirite?

oh are we making up fake things people never said?

things said about andy:

he sucked dick at downfield accuracy and AJ bailed his ass out endlessly

he was a game manager surrounded by weapons, he made safe throws to weapons, he was never the weapon

he wet his fucking pants in every big stage of his entire career

he was QB purgatory. played well enough to not get repalced, but never won anything that mattered, ever.

all of which are accurate. i mean the top 6 guys on that QB list, he and jeff blake are the only ones to never ever win a playoff game anywhere in their careers.

leon hall has as many playoff touchdowns as andy. Andy Dalton has a passer rating of 57.8 with 873 yards, 1 touchdown and 6 interceptions in 4 games in the playoffs in his career.

ugh, fuck that guy.
