  1. Today
  2. Thank you very much! I knew they had him for at least this season, because that was pointed out last year when people on Twitter started screaming "He'll be a starter somewhere next year!" But I didn't realize it was two more seasons. Good to know, good for the Bengals, and maybe not so good for him.
  3. Who's on the side of the FO? It's a dick a move to the coaches and the team he's a part of. We can't know how slighted he might feel about the business side of it, but as talking heads pointed out he chose to sign that one year deal when he could have just bet on himself instead - that's on him. If he believed some vague future promise from the Bengals FO then he wasn't paying attention.
  4. This is a more eloquent way to put it. I love him on the roster. At this price. And maybe higher, but not much and not longer. Someone will pay for him and then give him a long term contract he won't finish.
  5. I tend to agree with this. No doubt he's been great, but his back issues at his age concerns me. If he wasn't making these demands I'd keep him, but I'd be okay with trading him now.
  6. Trey Hendrickson is a power rusher that left many games with back issues and is 29. Trade him. He will never get to where he was last year. He doesn't have pass rush moves. He has a motor.
  7. No man, at least get something for him. I bet the Patriots or Panthers would take him.
  8. As all this goes on Katy sits in her office knowing both will play this year. Nothing has changed. Draft board stays the same.
  9. Reds win 7-4. Up 2-1 series Another comeback..(6). Now 14-10. 1:15 game time tomorrow.
  10. Top 8th Reds up 6-4 Sutter in groundout K Popout Inn over no runs
  11. I'm sure the Bengals front office were not happy with the timing of this, the night before they go on the draft clock. It was unnecessary to announce this now, especially as they can't even extend Trey for 3 more months per NFL rules anyway. It also caused Tee's rat-faced agent Mulugheta to reiterate his demand for a trade as well, so now the media is running with the "2 Bengals stars both want out, what's wrong in Cincy?" narrative. 🙄
  12. Bottom 7. Reds up 5-4 (Crunch time) CES.........K Martini....single.. PR. Bubba.. TS ..........single...runner to 3rd. Candy......W.........based loaded Espanol....SF........run scores Fairchild...K Inn over..1 run
  13. I'm stunned...why now?? I don't understand this, he just signed an extension it feels like
  14. The Bengals controlled Browning's rights for the next 2 seasons exclusively, whether he liked it or not, as he is only counted as having played 1 year in the NFL (despite being in the league for several years). So they could have given him minimum deals the next 2 seasons, like an undrafted free agent and he would have to wait for each season to get that. Now, they have given him a 2 year contract, likely with a bump in pay (that they didn't need to do) and a little bonus, since he's made little in the NFL so far. He had to sign it, as he has no leverage at all. Basically, they gave him some security and more pay to keep him from being bitter about not getting to start for another team. And he accepted, as he realized he didn't have any other choice.
  15. I’ve been wondering if this signing makes it easier to trade him.
  16. If Browning feels he can be a starter somewhere, why would he sign this extension? It would seem he'd want to get out from Burrow's shadow ASAP. Someone explain.
  17. If he has another stellar year this year he deserves an extension and a raise I just hope this does not become a distraction
  18. But they can win the whining contest. Trey has 2 clear choices - make $29M for the next two years or make zero. Black meet white, grey has been dismissed.
  19. Yesterday
  20. Bottom 4 Reds down 2-1 Martini.....groundout TS............K Candy......W Espanol...single..2 on Fairchild... groundout Inn over no runs
  21. I'm in.. Chase and Jefferson is too good to be true..😊
  22. Yeah, on the open market Trey would get 25 a year instead of 15, but that pay difference exists all the time when a player takes the security of a longer term deal like Trey did. In a few years, Burrow will be underpaid as his deal reaches its last 2 years as well.
  23. Bottom 3rd 2-0 Phil's Benson....Home Run!! Elly ..........single...WP.. Steer........K CES..........groundout Inn over 1 run.
  24. Yikes! The Bengals can't even give him a new deal for 3 more months even if they wanted to. Trey needs to fire his agent. 🤡
