  1. Rashee now leads the league in yards after contact.

  2. Well, supposedly he's retained an attorney. Not sure if he was involved, but it seems like it. That's a very busy roadway and I'm sure there is camera footage, along with whatever witness cameras there might be (I saw a dashcam view - scary stuff). Street racing is a real problem... it's one thing to block city streets at night and race, or burn rubber... that's bad enough. But to drive at crazy speeds on a well-traveled roadway, during the day, no less - and put many innocent drivers and their passengers in jeopardy, and THEN leave the scene. Really brazen, and incredibly stupid, too.

  3. Crashee-Rice clearly needs to be suspended for at least a full season.

  4. True story: while working in Las Vegas 7 years ago, I was having my usual Friday post-work brew at a brewpub near my house on the western edge of the Valley. Got to shooting the breeze with this younger fellow next to me. He was in the Air Force and stationed at Creech AFB north of LV. Turns out the young guy was a drone “pilot”—with assets worldwide. He was, understandably, vague about just what and where targets were, but did mention that “drivers” at Creech and other Drone operations were generally around 30 yrs of age. Gave me a new understanding of the skills needed for this kind of warfare—and respect for the young soldiers who perform them.

  5. Jesus dude he isn't on the team anymore. Let it go.

  6. Since apparently guns were seen being removed from the cars I wonder if Joe Mixon was involved.

  7. I'd like you to find the NFL special teams coach who agrees with you on this. Definitely the one in Cincinnati wouldn't. So much of placekicking is just confidence in the entire snap/hold operation. Butker had total confidence in Townsend last year, which is one reason why he was the best PK in the league last season. He didn't even have to think about the hold. Houston got themselves a good one in Townsend. With a franchise QB on a rookie contract for several more years, the Texans are definitely going for it this season.

  8. Eh, place holding is something that can be learned in a couple of weeks. Plenty of time to train whomever wins the punting job how McPherson likes the ball angled.

  9. After Bengal games there are always several extremely loud Mustangs and Challenger etc cars that buzz the stadium and streets speeding up and slowing down thinking how badass they are with loud cars. A few loud buzzing Japanese motorbikes, too.

  10. Last week, a pair of those jacked-up Civics (I call them loud go-carts) were racing on a freeway I was on. Learned a long time ago, stay in a lane more to the middle when you see/hear them coming). Passed me in the far left two lanes—easily 120mph. Always wonder why? Unless there is high stakes money involved (and on an approved track), why risk lives—including their clueless own—over such triviality?

  12. This draft, when the Bengals see the player they want (last year it was LaPorta) they need to just take him, even if it's believed it's "too high", as it's all a crapshoot anyway. Last draft they wanted LaPorta, but saw him as an early Rd 2 guy. Now we see he was worth a top 10 pick.

  14. How the hell did Volson get more than Purdy? The latter was drafted later and was an MVP finalist.

  15. Oh wow - he was a really talented corner. I remember one year on Hard Knocks when he got cut... just remember watching that, and recalling what a good player he was. He was at the latter stages of his career, and it happens to a lot of guys. Just a sobering moment. RIP.

  16. I'm sure Araiza won't be the only punter the Chiefs bring in for cheap. They will have him compete for the job. No way they just hand Araiza the job after not kicking in two years. They do have the best GM in the game.

  17. Uh, KC apparently agrees with me since they signed Araiza.

  18. One great comeback. Martini and Maille hit the ball sharp as well. India-Benson and CES clutch. Tks for sharing.

  21. Yes, it's still an issue (punting) for sure... Robbins needs to be hella better. He's a good holder, which is important, as you state... and his hang time was generally good, but distance-wise, no bueno. As LT noted in his post, with the new KR rules, the field has shrunk and field position is even more important. And for a defense that struggled mightily last year - even assuming improvement this fall - they need whatever additional help it can get.

  22. Both PK/punting is a huge part of chasing a Super Bowl ring. No way KC wins a ring this year without the huge contributions of Butker/Tommy Townsend. Araiza was both the PK and punter in college, so he has no experience at place holding. Simmons considers place holding as critical, so he would have no interest in Araiza. But punting is still a problem in Cincinnati, and there is almost no chance at a SB ring until the problem gets solved.

  23. They’ll make great drone pilots though.

  24. Are we looking for a new punter? Robbins finished close to last place in average yards per punt, and about the middle in "inside the 20" which he was supposed to be good at. He was the middle with touchbacks too. He basically was about average for a college punter, and kind of crappy for an NFL punter. Are we looking to replace him this year? I looked up hangtime as well and he was just in the middle of the NFL, which was 18th out of 34 punters. This was why I was wanting to give Ariza a shot after he was cleared of wrongdoing. We won't be getting him though, but I believe like a FG kicker, a punter can be the difference between winning and losing.

  25. Crazy things on x show him and others walking away. Also, there is a witness said they got guns out of car walked off. Love to see the footage rumors for now, but sure people will get paid off. If it was us we be under the jail or the other drivers would have held us down till police showed up.

  26. Have to believe Rice is hiding out long enough to get alcohol or another controlled substance out of his system. The other driver also fled the scene.

  28. I've asked Go if we can install an AI plugin for the site called 'Am I Being a Whiney Dick?' In the mean time - just remeber "Don't be a dick" and other important things. And no we aren't on all the time to moderate your drama. Feel agitated? Feel like you are going to explode all over your keyboard? Maybe go for a nice walk or just block users so you don't have to read their posts.

  30. Ok but we have Sample this year. He's our Blocking TE. Id rather embrace it than the negativity towards him.

  32. * I'm really regretting that Browning won those extra games last season. As right now they were for nothing. This was the perfect year to have a top 10 pick. 😢
