I for one think namecalling over the internet is cowardly and ineffective as a tool for making a point. If you disagree with someone, then use your brain to make a point or refute someone else's! If you can't do that, and can only resort to namecalling because you aren't skilled enough in the use of your own language, then not only should you just say nothing, you show your true level of immaturity. It's more about who can come up with the more creative slam than who can put forth the most coherent argument. For the most part, everyone here does a pretty good job of policing themselves but it can still get pretty dicey at times. Our moderators need to step in when someone crosses the line and I think they do a good job of that…keep up the good work. [quote name='whodey319' date='Mar 24 2005, 01:31 PM']guy was freakin annoying [right][post="66976"][/post][/right][/quote] he had some issues, he pm'd me a bunch of ignorance as well once i told him not to create multiple usernames to bullshit on the board, he created "mikebrown" and was posting stupid shit, when i told him not to he called me an asortment of names, which i let slide, then made the dumbass edawrds thread, which i let slide, cause its not against the rules to be a dumbass, then every post since then was nonsense like the above and PM's were the same, as well as another 2 member2 complaining. so i just banned him, of his 35-40 posts, about 5 were legit comments or opinions about the team or even football, the sad thing was, he is doing it all from work, on thier own server, so his IP revieled his location and even station number and NT login, so my parting PM stated if he attempted to spam or create other usernames i would contact his employer, they might find his posts of having sex with marge schotts dead body on work time interesting. in the end, i dont want to ban anyone, i want as many post whores here as possible, but some people just have mental problems and sole purpose is to be a jackass, its annoying to me and anyone actually coming here for bengals/football news, there are 7 banned people: agentorange agent_orange nintendo kid (also agent orange) the j dub (hahaahhha) slag911 mikebrown(slag911 other name) and someone else who i forget... a few people were suspended for a few days, just to relax and realise its a damn message board. so at that rate 2-3 actual people were banned, in 6 months, so thats a trend of 4-6 per year. 2-3 out of 381 aint bad, and im certainly not running a boot camp here, people just need to bot be a jackass.
