-GoBengals- Posted August 31, 2007 Report Share Posted August 31, 2007 i got sneak preview tickets for the showing tonight in fairfield.. its pretty swet, if you like house of 1000 corpses or the devils rejects, youll love it... tho there are about 10 of the same charectors from those movies, his wife, and the rest of "the gang" from those flicks all have roles.. it opens and closes the film, so its a slightly different story than the original first one, and no sequel coming... if anyone catches it this weekend lemme know your thoughts... i enjoyed it greatly... I wasn't too interested when I saw the previews, but I have only heard good things so far. By the way I don't know if any of you have heard about the horror convention where they have the original actors that play jayson, freddy krueger, and all those other awesome ones. My take on the movie: I thought there would be a lot more gore, considering Rob Zombie was in charge. I really pumped the movie up in my head before I watched it, thinking it was going to be a really wicked movie with tons of violence and gore. Don't get me wrong, the gore is there, and its a good movie overall....I just thought it would be one of those movies where I'd feel a little sick while watching it...lol. It is gorier (is that a word? lol) than the original though. I liked the beginning where they look into how Mike Myers came to be. I thought the ending was kinda weak. (I'm not going into detail about the movie, because I don't want to ruin it for anyone) Also, I am glad to report that Rob Zombie is bringing the unnecessary, but very appreciated titty shot back to the horror scene!
