Quote

You had a tough night running the ball against a team that’s not great at stopping the run…

“Well, when you aren’t very good at something, you usually concern yourself with trying to get better at it. We were able to come out and play-action pass and do those things too. We can’t worry about what a team did last week or the week before – we have to go out and play this game. It was a good job by the offense making adjustments. We were able to hit some play-actions, some nakeds, some boots and make some big plays that way.”

This quote itself is a fireable offense. The man came out and said that its difficult to exploit a team's weaknesses because they will make an effort to get better at it. How does a team end up 32nd in the league in stopping the run or the pass? As Marv says here, if a team is bad at something, it will be very hard to take advantage of that because they are concentrating on improving at it. Based upon this theory, it would seem that we would notice large fluctuations on team statistics over the course of a season. teams that are bad at something would merely concentrate on it and get much better. Teams that aren't concentrating on it would fall to the back of the pack.

This is a man without any answers, pure and simple. He's asked why his team couldn't run the ball against a team that is bad at stopping the run.

To prove Marvin's point, please see below:

Week 4: Bengals rushing yards vs. Dolphins: 77

Week 5: Titans rushing yards vs. Dolphins: 235

Week 6: Stealers rushing yards vs. Dolphins: 128

Week 7: Bills rushing yards vs. Dolphins: 67

Week 8 rushing yards vs. Dolphins: 140

The Dolphins are currently 30th in stopping the run.

Go away Marvin! Please just go away!!!!

It doesn't help that Gio and Jeremy have been nonexistent.

Jeremy is averaging 4.7ypc and has 6 TD's.  Gio is averaging 3.8ypc and is 7th in the league in receptions among RB's.  Considering our OL that's impressive.

We shouldn't be allowed to reply to his posts, me included. It just spawns more inanity.
