Figure that ship sailed when they opened 0-3.   I don't know where Zac got the idea they could just turn it on later but it doesn't work so well.  They don't have that margin for error. Not sure any teams do, even if they went to a Super Bowl 3 years ago.

 

2 under .500 with road games against winning teams in Baltimore and LA before the bye.  I don't see it happening this year.

I doubt seriously they were heavily relying on Burton as part of the game plan, maybe some of it, but I don't think there is enough trust there for him to be a significant part of it even if healthy

I don't understand the Burton situation at all. 😡 

 

He's clearly the third best WR on the team. He gets wide open on go routes and stretches the field. I don't give a fuck if he's a head case in the locker room or sleeps in every meeting. Put him out there as we have to win! 

With Carman the talent was not there. With Burton it is. I think he might even be the second best WR on the team (over Tee) if allowed to play. 

 

This feels like a Zac ego issue. The fans want wins. I don't care about behavior red flags. The Queefs are undefeated and full of criminals.

Based on what, his 40 time?  There's more to playing WR in the NFL than running go routes.  This is wishful thinking.

Three guards were drafted soon after Burton, including Puni who is now starting for SF.

 

There's a world where they extended both Higgins and Chase then drafted that guy, and in that world they're probably not sweating a midseason home game against the Raiders.  I know.. but a man can dream.

If the Burton character stuff turns out to be true and not some rumor, Zach deserves some of the blame, but even moreso the front office does after years of having that problem with Marvin, its something they should have learned a long time ago
