Speaking of reason, do you ever consider the reason you so often find yourself defending pedophiles?

Charged? No. Investigated for this and other ethics violations? Yes. But of course, it’s the “weaponized Justice Department” out to get him, even though the investigations began under the Trump administration.

Either way, even YOU have to admit that appointing this guy is a bad, bad idea. In addition to the investigations, he’s also the one who caused a lot of chaos in the House last year and got Speaker McCarthy removed.

He has now resigned, so the ethics investigations go away (Imagine that! Color me shocked! 😮) I will laugh my ass off if he doesn’t get confirmed by the Senate.

I never got into Bidens behavior with children.

Yeah if he were under investigation for child sex trafficking, or appointed someone who was to be his AG, that'd be pretty fucked up huh?

I got to thinking about this whole Matt Gaetz appointment. What if this is nothing more than a loyalty test? I could see Trump thinking, “I’m going to make the most outrageous appointment for AG and see if he actually gets confirmed. If he doesn’t, I know who in the Senate doesn’t have my back and who does.” Trump values loyalty above all else, and he will target in the next election anyone who bucks him, if they are up for reelection. This is his litmus test. It will also show which senators put the country over their party or career, and which ones don’t.

He's such a piece of shit, his fellow congressmen hate him, if they end up having to be voted on and get gets in it will just tell me exactly how spinless republicans have become.

BREAKING: The attorney for the teenager at the center of the Matt Gaetz allegations calls on the House Ethics Committee to release the report against Gaetz and says there are witnesses.

Amazed at Trump's decision making ability.  It is the best.

Probably at least part of it. I figure he wants more of a firewall against any future fallout from Epstein/Maxwell, plus he'd provide a fresh source of teenage girls because I don't think they've stopped doing that shit.

There may be some validity in your idea

Matt Gaetz has been accused but nothing more.

We'll see how this goes but for now he's done nothing wrong.

If credible reports come out and he's arrested I'll be the first to say bad call..

These weren't just random accusations.  I know your Orange Messiah has you convinced the FBI and DOJ are out to get poor little innocent Donnie but federal law enforcement are not exactly known to be frivolous creatures of whimsy.  Doesn't it strike you as at all suspicious that the man discrediting them is the one under investigation and already sitting on dozens of fraud convictions?

No, surely not.  Everyone but this man must be lying.

Say again if this guy's not a Russian asset he sure does a convincing impression of one

As a friend of mine said, this Cabinet is going to be comedy gold for the SNL writers.

So lets go through at least the obvious bad ones

Gaitz - Sycophant, possible Pedo, will absolutely not give Trump any advice that would be good for the country but not Trump, the things Bobb Barr told Trump no on Gaitz would not say no. Barr tempered some of Trumps worse impulses, so expect things to get bad here.

Gabard - Conspiracy Theorist and has actually apologized for Putin

Hegseth - highest rank obtianed was Col, wants to fire a bunch of Generals and end DEI programs, also said soldiers who use their benifies are government moochers. Fox News host

RFK - while I agree with him that we should look at our foods and the stuff we put into it and look to be more like Europe in that, the SCOTUS comstock decision is going to make him doing those regulations impossible. Also he's an Anti-Vaxxer so fuck that.

Huckabee - Christian Zionist in charge of Isreal. Yikes..

The highest rank that Hegseth attained was major, not colonel. Plus, upon further digging, I discovered that he and Trump have something in common. Both are on their third wives and cheated on their first 2 wives. Beyond that, he was supposed to attend Biden’s inauguration to help protect it and was told by a superior officer not to go, an incident about which he is very bitter. Claims the military that he loved “spit him out” so he has it in for the military. He also claims that the appointment of the current Joint Chiefs of Staff was a DEI hire.

I didn’t know much about this guy (aside from the fact that my husband thinks he’s a real American), but the more I read, the more “Yikes!” I get.

He was apparently on a list due to his tattoos, specifically the Jerusalem Cross, and what it represents.

And it continues…

Now Trump, along with his buddies Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, wants to amend or eliminate the 1974 budget law that gives control of the purse strings to Congress so he can exert more control over spending.

But no, he doesn’t want to be a dictator. He’s already tried to undercut Senate confirmation laws, and now he’s trying to undercut the House’s power to spend. 😡🤬
