  1. Bengals should only trade Tee if, and only if, they are this >< close to signing a free agent or two and need the cap space. Otherwise, keep him and pay him the tag money. He's got more value than mere draft picks. I really want to see Tee, Chase, Gesicki, Hudson and one of the other receivers on the field at the same time. How do you defend against that?

  2. If they are able to trade Tee Higgins and the 18th pick for Nabers, they should do it.

  3. I think the stumbling block is Tyler has far too much class to be associated with a bunch of shit hooks like that.

  4. Thanks for posting this. The NFL has made this VERY WORDY AND CONFUSING but it is very similar - I'd say nearly identical - to the kickoff rule used in the XFL. Here's a video explaining the XFL kickoff rule - if you understand this, you'll pretty much understand the NFL version. (This video explains ALL of the major XFL/NFL rule changes, kickoff was explained first so you only need to watch the first 40-50 seconds to get it.) It dramatically cut down on injuries, and turned the return basically into something similar to the old schoolyard game "Red Rover" that we used to play when I was a kid. If the returner can find a hole and bust thru, he'll have only the kicker to beat to get to paydirt. The first KO TD was scored - of course - by the St Louis BattleHawks. Ka-Kaw!! In 2023, the XFL modified the rules, adding stuff like "landing zones" and such, and it ended up making the kickoffs LESS exciting, as it resulted in the returner getting posession signficantly further behind the faceoff line, allowing the defense time to collapse and penetrate the returning team's line, limiting the opportunities for the returner to find the "Red Rover" hole and punch through. I always thought that if the teams lined up five or ten yards closer to the returning team's end zone, the returner would have a better chance of busting through the line even though the defenders are all closer to him at the start. We'll see if the NFL's tweaks will improve this back to the "cool" level that the 2020 XFL set of return rules had.

  5. Agree. I mentioned he's in the Chase mold. Wouldn't surprise if the Giants or Chargers took him.. Both need more aerial weapons . I'm still riding with all our receivers right now. They drafted and signed them to perform and better the team. Let them do that.

  6. You have a bit more positivity with Chuck Fizzle than I have. Get the first year thing, but—even when not injured—he was a mystery of where his route was, and dropped more than a couple when the ball was in his breadbasket or catchable. Not really seeing more than a kick returner tbh. Iosivas is sort of a Kelly Washington from my eyesight: maybe making rather great grab sometimes, maybe disappearing more. Teams can always have more than one slot guy. TB is aces here. Still wish they could get him back

  7. He probably wants 7 or 8 mil per year on a deal that runs for 3 or 4 years. He was making 10 mil last year so he's hesitant to take a big paycut if they are only offering 5 mil for one year or something like that.

  8. I wouldn't trade our first round pick in addition to Tee to get up high enough to take MHJ or Nabers. They'd be upgrades on Tee but we have enough needs on the lines that we need pick 18. Since we signed Brown, I don't think we absolutely have to take a tackle in round 1, so we could consider a WR, DT, or CB in addition to RT. But Brown is only signed for 1 season and has a long injury history. We can't count on him to play every game and none of us want Carman or Ford out there as Burrow's protection.

  9. I really think it’s gonna come down to a DT or OL at 18, especially because there’s not as much high-end depth at DT. So if Murphy or Newton were there, and because they stand out and it’s a significant need for the present and future, that would be the pick, I’m guessing. With OL, there is more early talent, and there are guys in the top 50 who will likely be available in round 2, or in round 3. But I think a WR is definitely in play on day 2 and given the abundance of talent there, sounds like that’s a sweet spot to get one. ‘Course, I have no idea of the Bengals’ draft board and who will be available when their turn comes… so I’m sure I’ll be surprised when it’s Terrion Arnold or Cooper DeJean.

  10. I’d consider it, although as others have stated, Gesicki can/has played a lot of slot and they still don’t know what they have in Charlie Jones (I think he’ll be a weapon but because he has position flex, not sure he’s a FT slot guy). I have always liked TB and he’s obviously been a fixture there. He knows the offense cold and has rapport with JB. But you’ve got Chase, Tee, Andre, Irwin, Charlie Jones… and potentially a draftee. That’s already crowded.

  11. back tied with the thunder in theory, how the thunder have played 2 less games than denver at this point in the season is ridiculous. OKC has more games, more road games, more games against playoff teams, than denver to end the season. as long as denver doesnt wet the bed they could easily climb into the 1 seed. but frankly no one expects the thunder to make it to the Wester conference finals so denver would be the top seed probably anyway in that game and still have home court. and if OKC does make it, the nuggets can sweep them in all honesty. so itwould be nive but not necessary. as long as we stay ahead of the Wolves. Wolves if healthy, are the second best team in the west. but they arent healthy.

  12. "Nuggets" faced the "Blazers" tonight, all but one starters for the blazers out, jokic and murray didnt even make the trip, nuggets won by 3, rough game to watch, like 40 turnovers combined in the game, terrible basketball all around. G league 2 way player Colin Gillespe played really well, very unsuspecting player, doesnt look like he would be effective, but smart and hustle goes a long way. back home for Memphis monday, who also sucks, rumors that murray may sit again with sprained ankle. I expect Jokic to play. sold my tickets for that one, first of a.5 game home stretch, the 4 following games are much better.

  13. Because I doubt they want to tag Higgins a second time and there's not anyone else like him on the roster waiting to take his place. The 2 they drafted last year were both late round picks & neither are that type of player. I don't think they necessarily need to use the first pick to replace that, but they might. Again if it's a choice between the 3rd or 4th best WR in the class or the 7-8th best OT it follows that the WR is probably the better overall value. I don't have to like it but I can't deny their board could easily work out that way. When you're drafting in the bottom of the round it's about taking the best of whoever is left, they're probably not going to be looking at a dozen A-grade prospects.

  15. Would Katy give thought to re-signing Boyd for another year at this point? Not many teams interested in 31 yr slot receivers. He's still a solid fit here.

  16. Stealers hit roadblock with signing Bengals FA WR Tyler Boyd Allison Koehler Sat, Mar 23, 2024 at 7:28 PM CDT·1 min read 2 At this point in free agency, the most coveted players are gone. The Pittsburgh Stealers may have had a plan when they traded Diontae Johnson, but we’ve not yet seen it come to fruition. That’s not to say it won’t still happen if the play was to sign Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd but according to Stealers beat writer Ray Fittipaldo, the two sides aren’t agreeing on money, so Pittsburgh is going to try to wait him out.

  17. Gotta sweeten that kitty just a bit more to get it done if so. Maybe a 5th... Would be monumental if it happened. I mean why not?

  18. Both 6'0" 200 lbs. They may specialize in different routes on the tree.. Maybe Nabors is like you say as a slot.

  19. Chad had the quickest feet off line off the line of scrimmage.. O to 60 right now.. I want something just like it

  20. He’s really not. Chase is a WR in a RBs body. There’s no one like him in the NFL. Nabers is basically Jaylen Waddle.

  21. Why? How many young receivers going into this year do they need? How many linemen do we need?

  22. Wondering if his value might go up the closer they wait until the trade deadline on Halloween. Fine with holding out for a relevant pick next year.

  23. I'd trade Tee for NE's 2nd rounder. They have lots of cap room to pay him and we can get a good player, not necessarily a WR at that pick. If AD Mitchell was still available there, then he'd be the pick. Or maybe we take Brian Thomas at 18 and come back for a tackle at 34.

  24. How someone could look at that pic, and the first thought that comes to their mind is that she’s not fashionable? I would imagine alcohol and processed foods are a dietary staple for that individual. The world is filled with such dumbasses these days unfortunately. Grandpa down to granddaughters, accomplishments galore. Disciplined lifestyle in order to achieve what they have, positively influencing countless others to be ambitious and achievement oriented, yet the issue is with their fashion. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Go crack that beer and pop open more potato chips, it’s probably hopeless at this point. Oh yeah, don’t forget to sit on the recliner in front of the tv so your mind can be made up for you on how you should be thinking.
