  1. for sure, stop being behind every game all game. that rate would drop quite a bit for sure.
  2. I can never decide how much i care about the run game, in regards to it being a problem, its not 2005, running the ball to open the pass game is a lot less of a situation, bengals averaged 4.1 ypc last season. lack of running was due to being behind constantly vs not being able to run, there are maybe 2-3 teams with a focused run game, unless you have a top 2-3 back in the nfl its not like you are itching for a 50/50 split like back in the day. philly obviously is run heavy. one of the most dynamic backs in history. but your run heavy teams are either those with a top 3 back or a terrible qb, OR a qb who runs often to alter the percentages. then the variables of a young QB when burrow is gonna throw on 3rd and 3, bo nix may be running the ball on that scenario. bengals, browns, jets, giants, chicago raiders all in top 10 passing percentage of snaps. all were behind all the time. so that probably evens out with an improvement on the defensive end.
  3. yea the 110,000 jobs and 50mil per game revenue impact is pretty pointless. cities dont need jobs OR revenue.. i remember than from Econ class.
  4. man its so wild to me how the media behaves. the lack of any real effort, and what they think effort is. this is a random stat, the take is 100% legit and accurate, but all of the things that would make the bengals automatically improve as a team for things that lost us games, this is the one we get an ESPN/MSN/whatever level article for? not the kicking was off due to holder and snapper timing issues? not the defense having key players miss 70+ games? but.... we prolly will fumble less....
  5. they already have this. 100% do have this. Seen it. Its possible some players are confused, and since they asked for 10 family passes, they just get to ALL wait in the general postgame area not in the room with food and snacks. Been to it. its smaller than most. but even the newest of arenas have "levels" of postgame accommodations, ive sat in the nba backrooms, ive had locker room access as a media member, and seem nfl finals level nba teams have a curtained area in the parking garage area for families to wait after the game, part of this is to discourage large entourages, there can be fights between family members, blaming players after a loss, bitching about not getting the ball even in a win. families and friends are sometimes emotional people. Keeping those groups small and not around is a very good idea. but every team and stadium or arena has place for legit close family after games.
  6. good story, I always wonder if other teams fanbases are as bizzare as many of the Bengals fans i have met. Cincinnati is an odd split, you have the frontrunner fans of the steelers as they were winning when some were growing up, you have all the browns fans who were browns fans before the bengals existed, most random fans my age who ARENT from cincinnati, liked their helmets/uniforms when they were young and latched on. My dad was a bengals fan, he was frugal and wasnt going to spend his time and money on a team that wasnt winning when i grew up. The older I got the more I found he was a bigger fan than he let on, but as a result i never went to a bengals game until i was 22 years old and went on my own. bought tickets on the corner, marvin lewis season opener, and i was fucking hooked. I have posted it before, but thats my dad in the brown pants in between #67/#72 storming the field. He was a badass and he was awesome. When my friends all moved away or stopped going to games he went in on my season tickets and went to all the games with me for a few years, it was great, we would hit Frischs on mason montgomery rd by my apartment, and go to the game, when my son and I fly back I do the same, we hit either Frischs by the stadium(just west) or larosas, and the opposite after the game. It just feels right. I almost dont care how the games go, a win is always way better, but the time with my oldest is invaluable. The love of sports is deep with him and I, I have earned hours and hours and hours of time with him that he wouldnt have been off playing video games or fucking around on his phone if it were for sports. Here we are after seeing the Nuggets win their first championship (3 years ago), our season ticket seats, 8 rows off the court. endless hours spending time together. and this morning, he went for his morning workout, only other person in the gym was Derrick White from the Celtics, he lives up the street, is from Parker as well, went to my kids rival High School (well before him ) and he sent me the video of him dunking, something he has been working on for the last year, being able to dunk in a game is easily the difference between getting onto a D3 or D2 hoops team and the lower levels where he is now. And the difference in me paying for half his schooling and none of it.
  7. they already turned down moving to baltimore back in the day, so relocation fees arent going to be the factor, they are a cincinnati family and want to remain so. something they get no credit for, ever.
  8. not enough to even matter in a conversation about stadium funding. and if i recall isnt it based on a baseline revenue anything ABOVE said revenue isnt reported? its not like club seating is a free pocket stuff for teams. I think the same is for demand-based seat prices, team shared the season ticket price, but those single game or MNF game tickets that are suddently 4x the cost.. i think they all pocket that as well. This is why they tried to take away my season tickets, keep them, and charge tons more.. but in the end as far as hundreds of millions go, its pocket lint. if they bump to 10,000 club sats from 7600, even if those are $150 more per seat. thats what, a gain of... $360,000 x 8 = $2.9mil a year...lol its not much in the grand scheme of things.. will that even cover a wifi upgrade?
  9. i didnt read much of this thread of the months, so i started from scratch is my give a shit level has been low as we all knew it would get worked out. As for this, i would be all in, BUT funds arent going to needs no matter what, toll bridge, privately paid stadium, all that, its not going to go to things of need, ever, no matter what, politicians are criminals, we have a toll road here in colorado, C470/E470, it was promoted as a toll road to build it, then after X profit was acquired, it would turn free and be handed over to the state for free, like it cost 50mil to build and they get money back and profit 150million, then hand it over. in the meantime, the gave power of the toll company to block vehicle registration if you had overdue tolls, they built toll booths then switched to license plate scans, added that onto the gap until the profit level, not accounting for the saved labor, so they net gained another 20 million profit in there. the time came for it to become free, the politicians played the card of "the budget is tight, taking on that maintenance will be a burden" and changed the deal not only to keep it a toll, raised the tolls, AND the section that was free, they added "express" lanes to it, instead of just expanding it, and made those tolls. counting on someone to do the right thing in business involving politics is a zero change porposition. i am as liberal as probably anyone in here. I have seen with my own eyes for too long that politicians value nothing involving the right thing to do, they dont value honestly, and they do not value human lives. keeping power and obtaining money is all that matters. Life is about leverage, whether you are a good guy or a bad guy, leverage is what you have, your job, your behaviors, what you own, how you act. is all based on leverage. the bengals may be the most ethical behaving nfl franchise in history. but are called cheap and greedy, its like no one has ever seen another franchise operate, how they treat staff, players, the cities, etc.
  10. i hope this is good. should be.. with the mannings involved...
  11. lmao, ive been part of friends and family there MANY times, never once was i in a parking lot, and this was mid 2000's over a few years, been the guests of both players and coaches and other staff before.. never was i in a parking lot. you know what there is tho? limits. so if youre bringing 12 people to the game, they all cant come hang with you, and if you didnt give the passes for your daughters because you gave it to your parents and grandparents and agent and brother and sister... thats on you. if each player and staff could bring 10 people, youre talking 1,000 people to deal with. this stadium was built 30 years ago, sofi can accommodate 5000 guests in its back rooms and dungeons and stuff, also has several media halls for postgame or post show stuff. the space doesnt exist.. youve seen them have to rip out one room or set of offices just to expact weight rooms right? we all have seen the photos. you have all seen within 10 ft of every single side of the stadium is a street used everday right? where we building the room for 800+ friends and family? i think they should have it.. but im not a dumbass and know when the thing was built, the limitations of space AND expansion. just cut ties with cincinnati, move it to kentucky, youll get the funding, pick a field, build it all there. Can it fit where tri county mall is? that space is useless. or stop complaining and be realistic. ALSO, lets not pretend if the bengals hit the city with "hey we need 3 million more to build a special structure to fit into this cramped space so more family members can hang out after the game" the city, EVERYONE OF YOUR IN HERE TALKING SHIT, the city, media, everyone would laugh at how stupid that is. or go take a tour and let me know where you see endless empty space in there that could be used for all these things right now. they can take away fan parking if you want. built it where player parking is, remove the road between the practice fields, move player parking over there? where yall want this to go? again.. they should have these things. but where you gonna put them?
  12. what everyone has really been waiting for... FOCOCincinnati Bengals Woodstock Peanuts Bighead BobbleheadIt's time to brush up on your X's and O's, because the Cincinnati Bengals Woodstock Peanuts Bighead Bobblehead will have you ready for all the big play excitement the next big game has...
  13. agreed. tho, the fact there is a verified premium paid twitter account called NFL FASHION ADVICE is seemingly an example of societal problems that i cannot quite put my finger on.
  14. they made him a 2 and a 3 year extension offers, that i know. i THINK he wants the 2 year number for 3 years. I think they fucked up making the 2 year offer. as i am under the impression it was about 2-2.5 mil more per year, for obvious age reasons. things i know + things i think = 2 years 62mil and 3 years 85.5mil are the two offers. guarantees basically at 50% of total deal. i think he is taking the stance of "if im worth 2/$62 im worth 3/93mil. coming into the office with no agent, for a "face to face" like a spoiled athlete who has never been told no before. told to his face that these are the offers and they arent going to change, at all, this is it. want you here but this is what we feel is fair. he goes home, grumpy not getting his way, agent calls, bengals tell him the same. then he starts dropped "no communication" bullshit. yeah man what is there to communicate.. you need told for the 10th time that these are the offers? he's acting like a girl who just got broke up with and just wants to "talk" until he gets his way, the bengals dont play that shit, so he goes public, aka tells his girlfriends how bad a person the bengals are for not wanting to talk to him. you know its true, but its more fun to trash the team. I assume he caves as he does the math that clearing $1mil per week sounds so much better than clearing $400k, if he plays it out and drops to even 14 sacks, he isnt likely to make that money up on the market next year. as for the topic at hand.. I assume Stewert signs first as well, for the simple fact that the shit they are crying about is slowly and finally making its way around that its very common in a large amount of deals these days, and since no money can be disputed, theyll slowly appear as the villains and get the deal signed. I must say its disheartening to see players and family members year after year across the league not understand how anything works, being duped by agents wanting to get their name in the news on the guise of "fighting for their client" so they gain new clients, happy to slander, pointlessly, the bengals, who have clearly offered a standard deal that most other teams offer the same way, becuase the lazy fans and media will hop on it no problem. #403-479-5-never forget
