Depends on who is still there. I would not let Routt stop me from taking Kirkpatrick.

I don't think Kirkpatrick seems as athletic as let's say Joe Haden and Pacman Jones. Maybe it's because of his height. I can't wait to see him run this week.

I liken Kirkpatrick to Ike Taylor. Maybe even Finnegan a little bit.

Very physical, strong in run support, good reaction skills.

Stanford Routt will be picking his next team soon

Cut more than a week ago by the Raiders, cornerback Stanford Routt has yet to select his next team.

A source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that a decision is coming soon.

Since Monday, he has visited the Bills, Chiefs, and Bengals. Other teams reportedly were interested.

The release came a day before Routt’s presence on the Raiders’ roster would have made his $5 million base salary for 2012 fully guaranteed. He left Oakland with $10 million in his pocket from 2011 and a $5 million guaranteed roster bonus in 2012.

The news that Routt will soon pick a team comes amid chatter that he’s having trouble generating real interest in his services.

Apparently, at least one team has legitimate interest; if not, there would be no selection for Routt to make.

Depends on how much money he wants. I read somewhere that the Raiders still owe him $5M against next year's contract, regardless of where he ends up playing.

After playing well a few years ago, he struggled last year - a lot. I think he's better as a #2 CB, not your #1 as he was in Oakland last year... and as long as Leon is back and recovered from injury, that wouldn't be the case here. 'Course, that's assuming that he beats out Clements, which I'd expect... but you never know. Wonder if he signed what they'd decide with Adam Jones and Jennings... and for that matter, the draft? In today's NFL, you can never have enough good cover CBs, so if it were me, I'd still look to draft one high.

PFT had an article today basically declaring it a three team race to get Routt and that a decision would be made very shortly. I think it says a lot that he cancled all his visits after coming to Cincinnati.
