The 2005 Stripes protect Palmer's knee long enough for a furious 4th quarter comeback against the over-achieving Coslet Crew. Palmer tosses 3 TDs in the final 20 minutes of the game, and Rudi Johnson's domination on the ground, outrushing Corey Dillon 125 to 57, all keyed Lewis's Bengals to victory. If you're not familiar with "Missing Rings", it was a spinoff-series of NFL Network's "America's Game" series. It debuted on 9/18/09 and aired for five consecutive Thursdays. In this series, the producers picked the five "best" teams that did not win the Super Bowl and chronicled their season. The five teams were: 9/18/08: 1981 San Diego Chargers 9/25/08: 1969 Minnesota Vikings 10/2/08: 1990 Buffalo Bills 10/9/08: 1988 Cincinnati Bengals 10/16/08: 1998 Minnesota Vikings The format is simple... the two Vikings squads will play-off first to get us down to 4 teams, then those 4 will play in a single-elimination tourney to crown a winner. Since we will have only 1 NFC team and 3 AFC teams, the teams will not be divided by conference for the semifinals. Rather, they'll be seeded based on record, with best hosting worst. The records are: #1A: 15-1 (0.938) '98 Vikings #1B: 12-2 (0.857) '69 Vikings #2: 13-3 (0.813) '90 Bills #3: 12-4 (0.750) '88 Bengals #4: 10-6 (0.625) '81 Chargers As it turns out, either of the Vikings squads would be the #1 seed, so the format is: Play-in: '69 Vikings at '98 Vikings Semifinal #1: '88 Bengals at '90 Bills Semifinal #2: '81 Chargers at '??
