He says that if any NFL doesn’t think he’s worth a first-round pick, God will block out the sun.  🥷

JC Latham has been mocked to the Bengals quite a bit. He declined to do the standard tests at the combine, then again at his pro day.

So, he'll probably drop, hopefully past us.

Any reason why he skipped?

Odd

He's not injured and performed some of the position specific drills. He just refused to do the standard athletic testing, jumping and running and lifting.

The obvious reason would be that when his personal coaches put him through those, he scored poorly so he didn't want to repeat that in front of coaches and GMs.

That all well may be but

He's the best interior lineman in the draft and Id have no qualms with drafting him at 18 to reinforce our

interior.

I think he's in the Creed Humphrey mold.

OT is the priority but he's an outstanding prospect for any Oline

That 3-cone at his size/weight is freaky.

Barton is one of the safer OL picks of Rd 1. He may not have an all-pro ceiling, but I feel like he has a quality starter floor.

However, if the Bengals took him at 18 most fans would freak out, since he's not been on the radar.

Barton will be an interior o-lineman in the NFL, probably a good one. I've seen Joe Thuney comparisons.

I wouldn't cry if we took Barton or JPJ at 18. But tackle is probably a bigger need than a guard/center. Brown is only signed for one year and tends to miss 4 or more games each season. He's played 53 games in the last 5 years.

My guess is we re-sign Scharping as the backup center. Karras is going into the final year of his current deal. I'd be fine with extending him but the Bengals famously hate 3rd contracts for players over 30.

If the Bengals pass on him...he is going to be wearing Black/Gold. Bank it.

Yes indeed.

Stealers have had many outstanding centers to solidify the interior.

I've seen posts from their fans that

favor him along with Fuaga.

They like aggressive graders

I think the Squeelers first wish is Mims. They already have the other OT from Georgia, who they took in Rd 1 last year.

Their strengths in the line—as Clapton mentioned—has historically been from the center out. When that spot is anchored, they have good lines

Nate Herbig is slated to start at center for a them..

6'3 335lbs

could move to G if they draft JPJ.
