Assuming McPherson, Adomitis and Robbins/Rehkow occupy the remaining 3 roster spots, who gets those 2 ???????? slots?

Do they both go to one side of the ball?

What are the chances that they get filled by players who aren't currently on the roster?

Who from the first 24 on each side are actually on the bubble?

Nice lists...some decent talent in the bubble lists...hope many make it back to PS.  I like our chances this year...but cautiously optimistic at this point since I always like our chances at this time of year.  :)

This is based on who is left. If you think they either injury settle, roster or practice squad everyone you are at just 1 player over the 16 man practice squad.....ignoring punter.

I'd keep 5 TEs likely Samaje Perine replaces McClachlan. I hate cutting McClachlan. I think he eventually starts in the league. Maybe a trade at TE

Keep 11 DBs.

Went light at DT but heavy at DT on the PS

They could potentially keep 4 "bubble" players if they designate 2 players (Murphy & McKinnley Jackson?) for IR.

I imagine Cedric Johnson & Tufele would be the primary beneficiaries of that. Not sure if Blazek showed enough to be kept or if his ceiling is PS. And are they inclined to give an injury-free Tycen Anderson his shot?

Nice.

You don't think Myles Murphy will go IRR?

Very possible that one or both Murphy and DT MJackson will get put on IRR and miss the first 4 weeks. In that case you would have to think they might add a DL or two after cutdown day. I really wish they had a proven nose tackle. I would even up a Day Two draft choice to get a good one. It just feels like a gaping hole on the roster, the kind the Ravens and other top teams will try to exploit.

Love Maema Njongmeta but he misses tackles at times because he wants to lay a hit on someone.  I like the enforcer mentality and  I like how he plays downhill which reminds me of Burfict without the stupid penalties.  Btw, the missed tackles also reminds me of Burfict.  This guy needs to make the roster.

This is one of my concerns as well.  The NT position.  I think a year in a NFL weight program and Jenkins could fill that role but that's not going

to help this year.  Might have to leave a roster spot open and scour the waiver wire for a NT unless they can pull off some kind of trade for one.

Jarran Reed may be available from the Seahawks via trade but I'm not sure he's a true NT.  Seahawks have Leonard Williams, Byron Murphy and Johnathan

Hankins.

I am updating the rosters right now with potential cuts and there are a load of late rounded drafted DTs that might fit the bill and are going to be fringe roster guys on other teams.

Interesting stuff here from Charlie Goldsmith, as usual. The 48 man active game roster is actually more important than the overall 53 man roster, at least in the short term. Here he discusses two offensive rookies than might be competing for only one active game spot against NE.

Nice.  Appreciate your work also!

Here is what I have so far....Rookies in Orange. I know nothing about them other than later round DTs who appear to be fringe guys on their rosters

Lots of familiar DEs who might make their way to our practice squad for a few weeks call up while Murphy is out too.

Interesting TEs which gives me hope McClachlan makes it through.

Mims, Burton, and All have flashed, Jenkins did once if we can hit on all of these guys we're going to have a continued bright future.

Hitting on some actual UDFAs and late round picks is important too. That has been really rough lately. Lee-Kirkland-Nongmeta all making the team is really helpful I think. Impactful inexpensive guys is essential.

Yeah forgot about Lee, he could be the starter after Karas leaves if he continues to play like that.

Kirkland I'm very 'meh about

Nogmeta is a bit slow but he seems to know where he is supposed to be on plays and his technique might make up for it. Probably more of a role player in the run game but that is what we are all worried about so he may be a fan favorite if he can play that role and help with the run.

I think Hudson is ahead of McLachlan at TE. He has Burrow's trust. Same reason Yoshi is ahead of Burton. Bengals will certainly offer McLachlan a PS job and he's unlikely to be claimed during the mass cutdowns. We certainly could use a NT, especially when Jackson is out. If Ika gets cut in Cleveland, he'd be a good signing but they traded a different DT to Chicago today so they probably won't cut Ika.

I do agree All has the total package and his discount will rise quickly as he adjusts to NFL play.

Question..

Gesicki looks like a big 4th down and RedZone weapon..

Can he block suffiently in the run game?
