I think that is the plan. Bigger need might be 3rd guy who can play C in that group of nine.

If they've finally got a guy that can realistically back up 4/5 OL positions and not be a total disaster if he has to make a few starts that would be tremendous.

Crucial, even.  We can't expect all 5 starters to never miss a game, that's just not realistic.

I do agree All has the total package and his discount will rise quickly as he adjusts to NFL play.

Question..

Gesicki looks like a big 4th down and RedZone weapon..

Can he block suffiently in the run game?

Nope, not even a little. He can get in the way of a defender but can't move anyone back. He's famously uninterested in blocking.

Seriously?  The Bengals should be famously uninterested in any player with that attitude

I always just assumed they thought as him as more a 7th WR than a TE.

I really hope DJ Ivey somehow makes the 53, as I think he's good enough to start as a CB in this league and has worked hard to come back from last year's injury.

I think CB is the deepest position on the entire team and I would keep 6 so that Ivey makes it.

So what about punter?

If Robbins is still ouchy opening day do they IR him and keep Rehkow?

Keep Rehkow regardless?

If Robbins ouchy Inactive and let Money Mac do double duty?

Go with Rekow..

.

You want Money to punt expand his contract big-time to do so.

Elsewhere Hobson/talk of looking for another running back.

What's wrong with the ones we have?

Who would go to make room?

Or would someone from another position go to make room?

Personally, I would stand pat.

Bengals seem to like very short but sturdy backs.

With the huge line upfront they can get lost in the cracks and seams .

Take Trayveon .5'8 210..

That's alot of force as is Moss and Brown..

Is Ivey better than Allan George?

If so why?

Speed alone?

Ivey had his knee surgery near the end of the year. Anderson and All have recovered from theirs because they happened earlier in the fall last year. No question that Ivey isn't ready to return to practice. It will take him longer to get back on the field.

In my mind, yes. Way better.

Ivey to me has the best CB "frame" on the entire team. I think he's secretly sneaky good and he was just starting to prove it last year before the injury.
