Who said he was a community college dropout?  It certainly wasn't me.  Does it make more sense to infer this absurd notion or instead assume people are simply holding QBs to an NFL standard?  Does it make more sense to assume someone is truly giving a final analysis of a QB's career, or simply observing how they're playing in the moment?  You set up the strawman anyway to "strengthen" your "argument", so I'll ask you the same question you asked me - "who hurt you?" - because constantly setting up strawmen is incredibly weak, and it says a lot about how your brain is wired.

 

But I'll answer this.

 

Jones was absolute shit yesterday.  That has nothing to do with his week-to-week, season-to-season or overall lifetime stats.  He sucked shit.  He was garbage.  Doo-doo.  Ka-ka.  He missed open receivers several times.  He made the wrong read multiple times on RPOs.  He  panicked and bailed multiple times when he didn't need to.  The Bengals defense benefitted greatly from this shit play, so regardless of his QB rating or PFF rating or relative position on the league stat table - he sucked shit.  Yesterday.  In yesterdays' football game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

I personally think he chose the wrong career path as he could be a very effective Therapist, especially for hypochondriacs.

who woulda thought. and not just 2, 2 plus 2 young talented rotation guys behind them, who had been out ALL year until 6-10 days ago give or take. and thats with guys like rankins getting first action in a long time, that group should only get better. 

wonder if any nfl teams are dumb enough to just look at stats like social media people and fans do? cause on paper we are a trash run defense, and in regulation we held Henry to like 40 yards rushing, he broke off the long one in OT, and Jones was their leading rusher in yards and YPC vs giants. and QB again leading rusher vs patriots with SOME guys healthy on the Dline. So when healthy, the bengals havent been murdered by the run game, but on paper they are worst ever.

 

i assume teams know better, but thats tough data to ignore when game planning. id love a peak into that side of the business, can i get the "stat reality reminder" job and just sit in the game planning rooms, and when someone says something based on stats that arent usefull in reality, i blow a horn or something?

I don’t post here much anymore, joined the board in 2003 when it first started as an offshoot from Thorntons site, but completely agree that every piece of news is posted here by wonderful people (hope they’re not amongst the pansies lol) who take the effort to make this board what it is.  Most notably Griever and Arkansas Bengal.

Hey, I got the Red Rifle experience twice. He was the starter in New Orleans an entire year after Winston thru 5 picks in 10 quarters. It went about as well as expected. 6-8 and ole average Andy couldn’t win the bright light games. Like a bad penny.

I think Brown suspected that maybe he should go down, but was unsure, since the coaches didn't tell him to. As I mentioned in the other thread, the way he scored immediately reminded me of Ahmad Bradshaw's TD in SB 46, where he realized AS HE SCORED that he probably shouldn't. 100% on the coaches, IMO.
