Last week at PBS, talking to the friendly redneck sitting next to me, I noticed something about our Running Backs.

Zach Moss is supposed to be our #1 RB, with Chase Brown in on passing downs because he's a better blocker. Yet Brown has more touches, more yards, more targets, more receptions, more recieving yards, and fewer turnovers, with just as many combined TDs as Moss.

So when Moss is in, he's not there to block, not there to run, and he's not there to catch, so I don't understand why he's there.  He -is- good at fumbling, apparently, as he lost the ball in 3Q as we were going in for a score, so instead of up 10-0 we ended up tied 7-7.  But then I saw that Brown fumbled and the ball barely went OOB... followed by a redeeming TD run up the middle from distance to put the game away.

I'm not biased, though I have Brown on my fantasy team.  Well, maybe I am biased a little.

Not -down- on Moss, I'm just more -up- on Brown and would like to see a heavier percentage of the snaps begin to land in his lap... I think he can do more with the opporutunity than Moss can, who can come in to spell Brown every third snap or so.  If we established a bonafide running game, it would slow down the pass rush, give our O-line a better chance of not being exposed, and lead to longer posessions to give our D more rest and downtime.  Everybody wins (except for Moss fantasy owners).

So I kinda already did the "see you next year" post after losing in week 1 or 2.. But this team is not going anywhere. We have no defense (even though we played well tonight). We can't really stop anyone. So this is my see you next year post. I just get so frustrated with this team, and I hope we address defensive needs next year in FA and the draft. We all know JB can play even though he cost us the Ravens game imo..

But I will catch you all later. I am just so damn upset right now, even after a win.

tons of QB's including joe many times, he was trying to throw it out of the endzone but BJ hit it. was the correct decision just couldnt execute it. also daniel jones is a mid level QB in the nfl this season passing and above average running, so stop acting like we are super lucky we are palting a community college dropout at QB or something. get a grip.

You really expect Gesicki to block anyone, much less Brian Burns?

youre never gonna guess this, but the giants dont tell us where Burns is gonna line up each play, i counted at least 5 places and didnt 3-4 different things from each, so no, the bengals didnt get the heads up, then design a play for mike to block burns. the giants, saw out formation, and put burns over mike to attack him since he cant block.

thats how football works. the defense tries to find the best mismatch it can and exploit it.

4 hours ago, BronxBengal said:

Typical Taylor play calling.  No creativity with the same crap.  No motion or play action.  Taylor is so vanilla with his offense.  He doesn’t create mismatches

there was a fuckton of motion, play action takes LONGER than a normal drop back, so you want slower play progression against this pressure?

what fucking mismatch is there to create? grab a white board and draw up some plays for me, here is what we are facing:

a front 4 who can get pressure quickly, allowing 7-8 to drop back into coverage,  with even 3 WR and a TE, thats 2 defenders for each person able to catch a pass.

lemme see what you got to defeeat the "everyone can literally be mathmatically double teamed" defense they are facing.

most teams cannot get quick consistent pressure with just the front 4-5, the giants can. thats it, thats the reality.. no ones calling bad plays, no ones playing down to anything, its a scneario thats tough to overcome matchup wise.

WTF the slant out on the left looked wide open???

progressions and timing and passing lanes. joe doesnt have the benefit of madden video game and can see them all and mash a button, if you watch the full 22 view replay on most every play there are guys wide open, but the defense knows typicaly progressions of some things and nails it.. which is much easier when they are in your qbs ass within 2 seconds most plays...

Except for the glaringly horrible continuity error of Gunny Hartman was called "You" several times

by the Shitbird Maggots.

If a Puke called a Drill Instructor "You", the response would be...

"You?  YOU?  Are you calling me Ewe, Maggot?  Do you know what a ewe is?

A female sheep.  And do you know what you do with female sheep?  You fuck 'em.

Do you want to fuck me, asswipe?  I'll tear off your head at the stacking swivel and shit

down your neck pipe."

Then he would knock the offending maggot on his ass.

At least back in the Old Corps.
