Chad is a good person.
Yes he is. I remember after Vikki Zimmer died, when the team gave Mike the game ball and he was addressing the team, Chad was bawling in the background. I have said it before, I hope Chad retires a Bengal. His out pouring of emotion and support for his team mates and coaches has cemented that position for me. DontPushMe
this is terrible, i dont even know what to say, rest in peace slim, you were awesome it really sucks to see this happen just as hes turning his life around, horrible
Farbeyonddriven
I was told by a co-worker today, and I just felt numb. Very sad news. May peace and some sort of solace be with his family. Despite his off-field issues, from my standpoint Chris Henry will forever be respected, revered, and celebrated. R.I.P Slim. ColorChanginClique
There's a lot of people online basically saying, "well he wasn't a good person, he had a criminal record, etc.." Pretty heartless for people to judge based on a few misdemeanors without ever knowing them.

Pretty heartless for people to judge based on a few misdemeanors without ever knowing them.
I think it stems from jealousy, that his death has such a high profile, despite his indiscretions, and theirs wouldn't be. So they justify their jealous feelings by saying "well he was a bad person anyway, he was just a mess, how fitting, etc." It's sad for them. -Dan_Bengals_FL-
For me, football will never be the same. One of my favorite athletes of all time. I was just as big of a Chris Henry fan as I was a Bengals fan and when something of this nature happens it makes your emotions die a little after being so attached. I think even if we won the super bowl this year, I would be happy, but everything would be so bittersweet for me, because of Chris. Knowing I will never get to see him again is going to eat at me a little everytime I watch the Bengals. I was waiting for him to re-up his contract before I grabbed his jersey. I can get it now though, because he will forever be a Bengal. I'll never forget when I sat in the endzone one year and we got there early to watch warmups and I went up to the front row to take pictures and the one picture I vividly remember was Chris walking towards me making this face that was puckered. I will never forget it. I will never forget Chris or the excitement I felt when "Slim" caught a ball and I would jump up and get all excited. Still everything is so bittersweet. Hopefully I can get over it soon.

BurnsBengal
Supposedly here's the 911 call from TMZ from a person riding behind the truck Chris was on. I can't download and listen to this file at work so I don't know exactly what they say, but I thought I'd at least pass on the link to whoever wants to. Quite frankly, even if I could listen to it, I'm not sure I would. akiliMVP
I can guarantee you that if Chad scores a TD at home against KC next week, his celebration will be a tribute to Henry. Can you imagine how insane the crowd would go if he stuck a 1 over top of the 8 so it read 15 and pointed to the sky? I'm getting chills thinking about it. I hadn't planned on going to the KC game but now I think I will.
BengalsRule85
Chad's interview is just heartbreaking... Feel sorry for him.
